lol true. i don't go to tafe yet so i can't say if its good or not hahaha. all i kno is ashmore one is near a pub and lot of them go there for there hours lunch. sounds good to me hahaha

yeh i work with dad coz he owns the business and he wanted me to have a couple months working before i got in. did you get ur tools and stuff. I'm still waiting for my $500 that you get every 6 mths. yeh and I'm with busy at work they're alright they said the same thing dad said with waiting couple months and start this year. but yeh you should be starting tafe soon too. 5 months is more then enough

they are big bloody wheels. do they rub badly? the rear looks heaps under the gaurd lol. looks hot though. good work

Anyone a 1st year Apprentice mechanic? doing mechanical course at tafe this year at ashmore? starting on the 20th march? just wondering as i do and i wont know anyone there haha (no friends) Cheers Brendan

yeh very lucky aye. i think it woulda seriously injured someone or killed them. i had enough blood coming from my head let alone sittin in the passenger side. i was pickin out glass outta my head all nite. didnt go to the hospital. had 2 ambulances come, 1 fire trucks, 2 cops and 4 tow trucks. got driven home by the highway coppa lol. and no fines at all luckily.

haha i know how u feel with that pooey brown colour. its shit. lol. did it come without interior or did u pull it out? ive been tryin to make mine roadworhthy and i got mine with nothing in it except a seat and dash and gear stick. lol. but yeh looks good. good luck with it all.

yeh i got dads mate doing it. gunna get primer black first then matte black it. so the brown wont come back through. should look good. ive seen couple corollas with matte black colour around the coast. i didnt wana copy but freaken hell its such a hot colour for corollas lol.

lol. well i ll have decent suspension in the front. so only illegal thing is the back springs. ive asked around and all the aftermarket rear springs for ae71s are still too high. its not stupiditly low just sittin off the gaurds. I'm gettin a mod plate for not having back seats as well so that will be legal at least.

hahaha thanks everyone for the help. and the stories. yeh welded diffs arent worth the hassle with cops and etc. the car will be matte black and chopped ford springs on the back so i don't want to much attention with damn squeeking and shit with the welded diff.

lol thats tasmania. cops are all going strict up here now. theyve had the lock downs couple times each weekend now. its crazy. all they gotta do is ask you to do a U turn or something and your screwed. need my licence for my job.

hahaha true. umm matt black maybe. or primer grey with black bonet and flares etc i duno. don't wanna spend to much on paint though.

hey all. you've probably seen my topics asking for interior parts, engine stuff and other random shit. well this is the corolla i got in mid december and trying hardest to get it roadworthied. yes i still got a fair bit to go but its actually startin to look okay. its gunna be a 2 seater mod plated ae71 . atm I'm trying to get prices (gota get the cash first though so no real rush in finding one yet) fora 4age and wiring, wont be regod til thats done lol. if anyone knows of any around gold coast let me know lol. I'm a apprentice mechanic and dad owns the business so i ll definetly get this project completed. thats if it all goes well. lol. anyways the car has a very poo-ey colour but will be changed shortly. and also need suspension. atm its all cut. the diff is also welded. don't wanna part from that even though its illegal lol. i painted the trims up today at work but waitin for them to dry so i ll be puttin them on tomorrow morning and gluein the carpet in. i know its not cool to have carpet coz its heavy but its just light shit from spot light so aint that bad lol. heres some pics from day picking it up to now. more pics will be added soon as i love working on it. also a big thanks to littleredspirit (matt), loveke70 (andy) and steven for helping me find the shit i need.

yeh but another problem is that i wont be gettin it rego'd for a while because i need it to be road worthied and belive me theres a fair few things lol. so do i just keep the receipt and the people at qld transport wont care that its been like a month ago that it had been brought? because i wont be fixing it up til after christmas.
