hey all.

you've probably seen my topics asking for interior parts, engine stuff and other random shit. well this is the corolla i got in mid december and trying hardest to get it roadworthied. yes i still got a fair bit to go but its actually startin to look okay.

its gunna be a 2 seater mod plated ae71 . atm I'm trying to get prices (gota get the cash first though so no real rush in finding one yet) fora 4age and wiring, wont be regod til thats done lol. if anyone knows of any around gold coast let me know lol. I'm a apprentice mechanic and dad owns the business so i ll definetly get this project completed. thats if it all goes well. lol. anyways the car has a very poo-ey colour but will be changed shortly. and also need suspension. atm its all cut. the diff is also welded. don't wanna part from that even though its illegal lol. i painted the trims up today at work but waitin for them to dry so i ll be puttin them on tomorrow morning and gluein the carpet in. i know its not cool to have carpet coz its heavy but its just light shit from spot light so aint that bad lol.

lol yeh all the wheels are hot wires. just painted on the back which i will change. does paint stripper work?

hahaha true. umm matt black maybe. or primer grey with black bonet and flares etc i duno. don't wanna spend to much on paint though.

theres a few fellas that do a home job paint job that looks deciant for 500 bucks or less

if u supply the paint i'm sure u or ur parents have a mate thats willing to do a cashie on the side or something

yeh i got dads mate doing it. gunna get primer black first then matte black it. so the brown wont come back through. should look good. ive seen couple corollas with matte black colour around the coast. i didnt wana copy but freaken hell its such a hot colour for corollas lol.

Well i havent updated this for ages. the car is now all ready for roadworthy beleive it or not lol. the last couple months ive just been gettin things to pass roady.. and the paint.. that god damn paint was a pain in the ass. the grey primer all worked well. then the first 2 coats were good. so then we put one more coat on it and oh god didnt that turn into shit. the left side gaurd and door cracked and if rubbed it went back to bare brown. so that had to go back to bare metal and then primered and then coated and thank god it was good that time as i was sick of buying paint every week. I'm hopeing to drive it tuesday if all works out well. well heres some pics over the last couple months to now.

I plan to do a matt/satin black respray on my AE71 also. Out of interest how much did all the paint end up costing in the end?
