  1. Did a quick photochop for you, made it look more like a car again. Wheels & tyres aren't even close to perfect, did them last and cbf getting them 100%. But that's how your car would look with SSR Forumla Mesh all around (big improvement), I borrowed Roo's rims for the chop but I think he'll see it was for a good cause.
  2. A possible option for standard AE71 struts by way of a shorter stroke shock is VOLKSWAGEN - Golf (Series I & III), Convertible 79-93 Front VOLKSWAGEN - Golf (Series I), Hatchback 73-8/83 Front According to the Monroe catalogue they share the same body diameter but about 60mm shorter in stroke. Not the most ideal though as I doubt they'd be any/much stiffer than stock ones.
  3. Can I do the same? It'd be handy to have.
  4. Small port igniters have 5 wires.... Give me a part no. and I'll tell you if its the right one.
  5. If its anything like a T50 its REALLY easy to do.... but I've never looked properly at a K50 to know. On a T50 its just undo the 4 bolts which hold in the piece which fits over the input shaft, slide it off, pop the seal out of it put another in and slide it back on.
  6. Common problem: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/s...hread.php?t=350
  7. TE72's have the 20 spline output, but have the rear shifter position, I mean they share the chassis as KE70 and AE71's and as such the same shifter position. By far the easiest way to get a KE70 running with an A series motor is to get a K50 box from a Jap AE85. They still run a cable clutch so no messing around with pedal boxes etc. One of the sponsors on DC has one I think, although they wont take that much, might just survive with a stock 16v 4AGE.
  8. Just out of interest, would I be right in saying that's a Kouki JDM AE86?
  9. Haha, nice idea. Yes my sexy 71 will allure all :D (EDIT - for all those wondering, its neither of the 2 in my avatar) Sadly my street isn't really cut out for a huge group of corollas, but if you're actually keen to see it Kevin feel free to drop by I'll more than likely be home. Otherwise, if you've still got my number Kevin, send me a txt when you guys are in the harbour and I'll come down and say hello although not in a rolla.
  10. There was talk of going to Cordeaux Dam along the way on this cruise. Whatever the case, I wont be there, car got totally raped by inspectors, no rego for while.
  11. I'm not 100% I'll end up making it... I'll probably come up to the dam so long as my car passes blue slip on Friday and I can get the rego done in time. Fingers crossed it'll pass, I have a feeling the exhaust may be too loud though.
  12. I can make up a loom long distance if you want, all you'll need to do is collect all the pieces required then mail them to me. Then I mail the whole lot back, then you plug it in and go. Not sure I'm super keen to do it, doing one for a guy in Tassie at the moment, but so long as is a completely standard 4AGE install I'll probably do it. PM me if you're interested.
  13. I think you'll find nobody makes an off the shelf adaptor for a 4AFE just because its not a common engine to do up. That there adapter looks to me to be an APEX Engineering 4AGE bigport ITB adaptor.
  14. I personally hate the after market systems, find them to be pretty rubbishy in most instances. I did however find that with a few slight mods and some thinking I could fit a complete factory AE92 central locking system into an AE71/KE70, using all the AE92 latches and electronics. Now I'm guessing you aren't putting it into an E7 but something to think about none the less.

I'm going to do something different and not comment on the car. :no2: Well what actually caught my eye was your sig.... I am very close friends with a certain somebody whom has been through a period of that, she's not so bad now though thankfully. Its the kind of stuff you see in movies, but would blow everybody's minds if they actually knew what it was like.
