love how everyone has something to say in forsale threads just to put an argument to rest http://i10.tinypic.com/8g9i2dl.jpg that has a non shortened r31 diff in it those are stock s13 wheels 15x* with a + offset if you want to shorten it then thats your choice, but you CAN put it in a k30 onwards without shortening these days the desired stereotipical look is fitment, sitting flush with the gaurds and there you have it. yes lockers, minispools, full spools etc etc are illegal but so are half the things people do to their cars, drive sensibly don't hang skids in suburban areas and learn throttle control and you'll be fine

as with any diff upgrade for a corolla t-series etc that i've seen you'll need a custom tailshaft of some description, thats pretty much a given you CAN just weld the mounts on, custom tailshaft and away you go if the extra track doesn't worry you also considering before i found this i was offered a ra23 t-series for $150 i think the price etc is very reasonable the centres can be pretty average, but i've found it depends on the way you drive, in my mates skyline if he just powers over out of a corner it can sometimes only spin a single however if you actually flick it out and use abit of clutch it spins twins everytime. (this was all done on private property of course) this is also the reason why i included the fact minispools and 2way mechanical lsd's are available. Minispools go for about $80-100 on ebay, and i've herd of 2ways being had for about $800 this howerver was when the australian dollar wasn't so shit! i will have it sent to the mainland at the buyers expence however i don't want anyone to buy something, have it sent all that way and think its a dud, i was going to use it in my car, but had every intention of using a minispool and putting new seals etc in I'm about to go and take some photos, and your PM has been replied "KE ping it real"

I have a complete r31 silhouette disk - disk diff came out of a wrecked car so condition of the centre is unknown, however it does appear to be tighter than my mates "reconditioned" centre (this cost $100 alone) Kaaz 2ways are available as are mini spools making this a near unbreakeable upgrade for any corolla. hey man, conversion is awesome so fare, your a quality welder just cruious with your diff, i assume its the standard 3.70 ratio? or did you change to pintara to get 4.1? also is that tag custom? because mine says "spin resistant diff"

a mate bought a silhouette for $500 to get the manual parts out of and didn't want the diff, was only going to get crushed with it in there, so $60 = win win

hey, i to am looking at building a 1ggte car, only mine will be a ke35 i bought an r31 diff (borg warner 78 i think) with an lsd today for $60 i belive they are something like 1480mm wide dunno why that figure just rings a bell, and I'm pretty sure ae86/e7/ta22 etc etc are 1430 something along those lines which is about 30mm bigger than a standard ke3*ke5* it will have to have the mounts to suit my car welded on (as would yours) I'm not going to shorten my diff either like most do with the r31 diffs in corollas, i'll just make do with the extra track anyway i dunno if that is any help to you but yeah peace Johnny

not hard to find at all, i have a ke30 one here off my coupe you can have for $10ish or swap for your square headlight one?

I'm 90% sure u don't need custom engine mounts ta22 will do as when you put a 3t in a ke70 ive been told (by someone whos done it) that you use ta22 mounts and t18 rubbers, thus the same would apply to a ke30-55 crossmember
