  3. Hey everyone, i am about to finish off a 4AGE 20v silvertop Conversion in my AE94 corolla sedan which previously had a 4AFE. now i have sorted everything at the exception of this 22 pin plug, can anyone help me work out the pin-outs for this plug? i will need to splice the 4AGE engine loom to suit this plug...but without a pin out i am stuck.. :( your help is greatly appreciated! kind regards,
  4. initial postes updated regarding 20V conversion :) C52 gearbox + Driveshafts in!! :) as for initial D lovers.. Sorry team AE94 + GC8 wont be in it :P
  5. ^^thanks fellas :) made good progress this arvo, 4AFE is ready to be pulled out...but since i didnt disconnect gearbox as I'm trying to get both out in one go...its gna be painful....LOL definitely can't wait to have that silvertop in there and driving it again! initial posts updated :)
  6. car is currently under carport...at present..i only unplugged battery and some engine wires in the engine bay and have the driver side drive-shaft out..will spend most arvos arter work on this until engine is out...hopefully by next weekend. on another note..this was too cool not to share! :)
  7. ^^ thanks Ben! The Lip is from the old Mazda 626..they fit the corolla bumper nicely. good idea with the indicators, in due time of course :) I'm really hoping my next update is my engine conversion, gna have to organise some leave from work but with a couple more weeks of uni, I'm gna have to wait it out..
  8. Updates added, New Lip + tail light extensions... :)
  9. thats the plan :) the silvertop is gna go in...then ima take all the time i need to build that 7A bottom end while working out brake options on the side :P
  10. ^^ thanks dude :) ended up PM him on twincam.org :) very helpful guy with one heck of an AE94 with rollcage and the whole shebang!!
  11. wow it came out really well!! great effort!! in time you might consider a 7A bottom end, doesnt like to rev high but great for a 10psi turbo set up :P and that oil cooler is BOSS!!!
  12. i apologise for diggin up old threads, but can someone help me with the 20V engine wirning loom to wire up to the SX fuse box and battery..as the 20V engine loom already has a (+) Battery terminal? also the alternator wiring up to the SX as well as under dash harness plugging into the ECU? do those wires need modification?
  13. Hi Everyone, I'm currently working on my AE94 Sedan its pretty much an AE92..i don't know why it's called the AE94.. anyway, i have searched tirelessly..but can never find a definitive answer, so I'm hoping this thread will cover it.. 1. What gearbox from factory came into the AE92 SX GTi? 2. For the AE92, thicker swaybars in the back = better handling?? (i want to go whiteline 24mm in the back and 22mm in the front) 3. Who on the forums have done an AE92 4AGE 20V Swap? i have queries regarding the loom in terms of connecting Speedo, fuel pump, everything really.. (my frontcut donor is an AE101 4AGE 20V Silvertop) thanking you all!!
  14. I bought a new motor...! :) refer to initial posts :P
  15. Thanks heaps for that!! I mean the plug right next to iginition barrel on the steering column, theres a plug for at least 15-20 wires there...
  16. Hi Everyone, I have an AE92 Sedan (AE94 Actually) with a 4AFE..i have been contemplating several options for an Engine swap for awhile now and ultimately decided to do a 4AGE 20V swap. the way i plan to go about it, is to buy a front cut and go from there. now i can go about putting the engine in..but with the loom and the under dash wiring i am not so confident.. in terms of plugging the loom into "Speedo gauge, air con, steering wheel column....heck the whole lot!" plain an simply i CAN do the engine bay part...thats a simple swap including the wiring HOWEVER; I would NOT have a clue as to how to wire it under the dash to make it work with the existing AE92 peripherals.. (speedo cluster, AC unit, Steering column, etc.. would be so easy if there was a thread outlining how to go about it :P are there mechanical workshops out there in Western Sydney that can do this swap? are there contacts? I'm sure there are, but i just don't know anyone.. any info on this would be much appeciated!!
  17. yea it seems to do it right, i will definitely need to swap loom/wiring etc.. as at yesterday, i amde the final decision to simply buy a 4AGE 20V Front cut and swap everything over. only question now is...although this is quite common... where are the 4AGE 20v Conversion to AE92 Threads!? :P
  18. seriously thinking about reco' the 7AFE and dropping it in...not sure if keen on the whole new engine loom/ecu etc.. will try to get a conclusive answer on the matter, because i get the feeling i have to do a whole new conversion if i go down that path...that would be the case if i went 7AGE 20v...
  19. its not much effort to take the sump off either.. but now the problem is that there might be weld offs (the little bits that fly off when welding..)inside the sump and it might cause some issues if not already.. glad it all went well with no explosions..
  20. Hey Everyone, As the topic title suggest, i am hoping to go ahead with it. I have researched the net over and over, and there conflicting information everywhere. I am hoping for some of the knowledgeable and experienced members to provide some comments on this. i have a 7AFE long motor(from an AE102X) at home and an AE94 Corolla with a 4AFE(1st gen) for my understanding, i could swap the 4AFE to the 7AFE and given that the 4AFE loom will not have all the wires required for the sensors on the 7AFE block, it should NOT matter as long as the rest is connected up the ECU will still think its the 4AFE motor and therefore the engine should still run. would that be the case? its going to be a straight swap. 4AFE out, in goes the 7AFE and everything all plugged up. as for exhaust i know the difference of the taller block, but exhaust isnt really an issue, as long as i know the engine will run after plugging everyhting back up. please advise, it is much appreciated!! :)
  21. are the internals on this turbo 7AFE the same as the other standard NA 7AFE? in other words, is the engine block and internals ont his 7afe the same as any other 7AFE or does this one have forged internals?
  22. updates added - minor works, but getting there :)
  23. Sensational!! you have put a great deal of effort into briging it back to glory! car looks incredible!! drop a 2JZ in it :P? would be a Sleeper to the max!
