  1. got car back from mechanic...its lowered finally on "sports low" drove the car around after work...and handling has improved noticeably, the new tyres are very grippy and the suspension is 30% harder than before.. to complete my work in the car's handling department i will be adding the following mods in the next few months... - Strut brace/bar I'm very likely to weld my own strut bar (i'll keep you guys posted) - Anti roll bar - Rear strut brace (if possible) -

Hey Guys, sorry i do apologise for the picture sizes, they are quite massive...i will try to get them resized from now on. yea its from Solar Tint "Black Pearl" as for the logo it is worded TOYOTA and it's 1meter accross, i already have it..but I'm wondering whether i should put it on refer below: i just resized these ones: Springs to go in this week..

Windows Tinted king springs toyota writing changed to logo I need an opinion on this as well...i have a 100cm TOYOTA decal to go on the rear windscreen that i initially bought to put on the car once it was tinted, but I'm having second thoughts seeing how its looks clean already...should i do it?? lemme know what you guys think. :y: more updates next week..

  7. thanks Johno! that reminds me i have to learn fiberglassing! i'll definitly consider making a customer glovebox using fibreglass where i can still use the glovebox to keep stuff. hmm will ned to update thread soon! in the oncoming weeks, car will be: - Lowered - Tinted - New tires all around. this is seriously gna impact my finances..but, totally worth it XD
  8. Hi Everyone, I have a 1993 AE92 Corolla Sedan SE Limited. it didnt come with a factory clock, but i sourced one, now because the dash harness is different to the one that the CSX models come with i was wondering how to make the connection, has anybody done this mod before?? because i would hate to make a direct connection to the battery, there has to be a way where i can connect it. i have tought of ways where i can run the connection off the cigarrette lighter however this would mean the clock would only work when the car is on meaning that when turned off the clock would remain where it stopped. how can i make a connection where the clock continues to run so that when i turn the car on again the clock displays the right time. cheers!~ Hans
  9. ^^Cheers puzzle man! anyway i havent been on here for a while. quite a bit has happened since my last visit last time i updated i has just installed the power steering by the looks of it. on december 24, 2009 my Honda prelude was written off..i was not at fault. I'm still awaiting my insurance payout. it's been a bit of a tough time, but that didnt stop me from continuing the corolla works.. i had transfered some parts over. don't get too excited its nothing major. i re-did the dash and added a digital clock which i havent connected yet, i also scored some Sparco style bucket seats, and welded some custom rails to fit them in. Plans for 2010: - Dark window tint - Lowered springs (may get some coilovers ~ depending on how crazy i get) - 4AGE Blacktop (last thing on the list ~ prepping the car first) - Disc brakes in the back - finish blue interior neons setup - Projectors (headlights) anyway here's some photos: prelude rear ended New Seat in comparison custom rail in the making: finished articled: then repeat the process for the 2nd seat...lol finished product: updated dash:
  10. hey guys i just installed power steering on it....yay! after the new year hopefully 4age blacktop :hmm:
  11. Hi Bear, sorry for late response. the cluster should be wired the same way the original one was wired. if it doesnt work after everything is connected, then the cluster you have bought is maybe faulty. unless you did the wiring wrong. if you car has alarm, disconnect the alarm for this operation. as for the temp gauge it shouldnt work straight away because the is off. turn the car on, rev it for a little bit you should see the temp gauge climb. it is just a plug and play operation, should be simple. if you still can't get it to work, get a mechanic to have a look to play it safe. -yuvi
  12. if you want some power: you could get a 4AGE 16V 100KW (very rare to find one under 200,kms these days) you could get a 7AFE 1.8L (cheap as chips nowadays..go to the wreckers I'm sure they'll have a few in stock) or ultimately buy a frontcut 4AGE 20V 1.6L ($1800-$2500** at any jap parts import shop) if you're on budget and want a responsive engine with decent power go for the 7AFE you will not be dissapointed...if I'm not mistaken you can get one with manual gearbox for under $1000...
  13. ok i just couldnt live with it...so i redid the mod  but this time i got it right! cleaner and neater this time :jamie:
  14. another minor update. i finally decided to install my CD player...as mentioned in previous posts..modification of glove compartment was in order, while i will admit, this isnt one of my cleaner jobs :y: it came out "ok" here's pics: EDIT: PICTURES REMOVED that's it for this weekend.....i think, unless i get motivated tomorrow :S luckily the car had come with some decent kenwood speakers, I'm quite happy with them...next maybe i'll get a pioneer sub + amp...some doof doof is in order
  15. is that the darkest legal by the way??
  16. Thanks Ben, the Tint Job on that RA40 is awesome. thats the kind of result i was after, i will contact them asap! :) cheers!
  17. i knew this was gna crop up at some stage :) Due to personal preference, i wanted my dash to have a "track car" feel to it, Initially the plan was to install the GTI cluster..i had even sourced the GTi cluster and was in the process of installation when i decided to get the other 3 gauges instead, so i gave up on installing the common GTi cluster. see below: (this is a while ago now) thanks for the consideration tho, lots of thought went into this decision. it just came down to personal preferance. thanks dude! yea only after installing them i realised it wouldve been better at an angle, the issue is will the volt gauge, fromt he driver seat i can see 3/4 of it, same situation with the ammeter below. but i can clearly see the 2 important ones, oil pressure & water temp. but I'm pleased with the final result, so i wont be angling anything XD
  18. oh ok fair enuf.. i just don't want the dodgy purple tint :)
  19. while you're at the wreckers, try look into some AE102 Dash that are already broken, get the red needles XD refer to my cluster, Speedo + fuel red needle :)
  20. where can i get hub centric rings??
  21. great Buy well done! post some specs :jamie: is it a 4AFE or 7AFE?? I'm not a big fan of the hatch, but this looks like clean example. when posting some new pics, opent he imageshack link fully then post in here :bash: like below: let us know how you go, and congrats on the buy
  22. Hey Everyone! i was just wondering, if anybody knew a reputable place in Western Sydney area for CAr window tinting. i have seen a few "windows tinting go bad" examples so I'm reluctant to go to any shop. would anyone know where i could go to get the following result?: Cheers!
  23. didnt do much this weekend becides the small detailz! :jamie: - Sporty gear knob(from toyota paseo - straight fit) - Ammeter gauge fitted - Muffler Tip - Ocean Blue Brake calipers (red is too common these days, i figured i'd go blue to keep a consistent theme) as for the dashboard i'm trying to accomplish the look of a street/track car dash...please give me some feedback if possible :bash: Refer below:
  24. ^^glad you asked! :bash: glove compartment to be modified to mount cd player. will post as soon as i do it :jamie:
  25. Small update: i was working on the interior today.. the only annoying part of this is i cannot fully clip the dash face plate because not all wiring is complete.. so anyway i finally put a steering in and installed missile style switches 1 x fog lights 1 x interior blue neons (to be installed later) this gauge to fit where circle is drawn: New steering wheel on: End result for the day..
