Sorted out the mess! Roady gets done at 1pm on thursday, vic roads check @ 4pm friday. Friday night stereo goes in hahahha.

The cars finished besides soldering two wires and getting two tyres, I finished it tonight. But while the engine numbers registerd as in another car i can't get a permit to drive it to get a road worthy or the vic roads vehicle inspection. I'm goin to jack up the car and grab the engine number off the block and hope its different, other wise I'm stuck waiting for a week+ while vicroads looks into it! I know the 4agze number is under the exhaust, can anyone tell me on the 4ac? I'm pretty annoyed, myself and a mate worked our asses off and rushed the body a bit to get it ready for the meet and now it looks like i wont be there in the corolla!

Arrrrgh talk about issues. My id matches my chassis, my engine number is on the vicroads system as in an ae82!! wtf! My cars booked in for a rwc on thursday. But i can't get a permit at the moment cos of the system!

my rolla should be reg'd this week!, It'll be pretty avg, but meh, its on the road! Not sure if I'm meetting you guys in geelong or i'll meet up with you guys @ ring road. Where are the vic boys meeting up with the SA guys? At this stage I'm thinking of doin the run to Warny then cruising back to lorne to crash with some mates, then possibly meeting up with you guys the next day and cruising for a bit then heading home from there.

Thought a little thread like this might be handy to see who can help out who. Who works as a panal beater, a spray painter, retrimmer etc. I figure that if we can save a dollar or two on things such as paint or someone getting a bit of cash on the side to do some work helps us all out!

Speaking of mega gartherings, i was talking to a mate about cruises the other day and we came up with the conclusion that we miss the MCCR style cruises. Thinking of reviving the old "good friday" style cruise, i've got a route or two from back in the day laying around. Was thinking about organising it with a one of the melbourne car clubs and posting it on all the forums i can think of and seeing how many people we could get to show up. Opinions?

Ok, so at this stage it looks like I'm in. Not sure if i'll be doin the full run or not though. Still figuring out the details.

its not to bad, considering I'm not really ment to be doin work on the car its coming along ok. a mate does all the welding and grinding and i do the rest. Hoping to get some decent photo's of it in its pig form at the vic rollaclub meet in a few weeks.!

one quick pic. You'll notice that the line is absent on the right hand side of the fuel filler. Its details like that, that are missing on it at the moment. But hey, i figure better to be driving it then it sitting any longer!. It'll be back for the respray though!

Bah this is more like project 12 months! I'll post up some pics of the progress. Its still not the best but myself and my mate thats helping me with it figure that its getting a full respray later in the year, we might aswell just get it on the road. So in places you'll notice it, but its still looking not bad considering both of us aren't panal beaters!.

Mates will have a car trailer by then, so if the conversions still not done on the corolla, i might chuck the mr2 on the trailer and see what she'll do!

Myself and a few mates will make the trip up from ballarat for this!

Argh, i still haven't heard from the hospital so i still don't know whats goin on, to make things worse i don't even know how much warning they're giving me on my appointment. I'll see if i can find out later this week what is goin on and get back to you. :dance:

I'm still alive and kicking. Still got a few things goin on, which is pissing me off. It means i can't work, which means no money, which means the cars taking WAY LONGER then it should. Hoping to make the VIC/SA meet though.

light weight oldschool style rims are the way to go on the old rolla's! Say no to chrome! That being said, respect to you on the car!

Worst fuel consumption, a mates dads HJ prem. Cost them 60$ (when fuel was really cheap) to get from ballarat to dandynong.

Some mates ran a cruise in ballarat last month and managed to get around 130 cars or so. They're setting up another one with the date being the 9th of december at this stage. As details come up they'll be on here!
