  7. if u were going turbo, id go for a ca18det but if u want/have to go N/A id go for a 4age bigport or 4age 20v, high revs :jamie:
  8. 4agte or ca18det

  10. yeah they r real good lookin wheels, was thinkin about putting them on my ke55, were they expensive to get here?
  11. lookin good mate, r those wheels XXR 513? Cheers, Keelan
  12. thats what i thought, the weight distribution would be crap it wouldnt even turn, plus you would have to mount the radiator and front mount way forward or in the rear. Your thread is what sparked the conversion lol Cheers, Keelan
  13. Gday guys, don't know if this has been posted about before or not but i was having a converstion with a mate who owns a mazda 808 (similar engine bay dimensions as a ke30/55) and he reckons he could fit a 1 or 2jz without any firewall or tunnel cutting (maybe some sledge hammer work). It may be possible but the only worry ive got is the weight distribution, you would have to mount the fuel tank way back in the boot or sandbag it or something. What do u guys reckon? Could u fit a 1 or 2jz in a ke30/55 without cutting the firewall or tunnel? I know this modification wouldnt be street legal due to the power to weight ratio. Cheers, Keelan
  14. oh ok, good luck, keep us updated
  15. sweet as nice nice, should run a decent 1/4 pass, what diff centre ratio are u running? going for time or mph?
  16. Cheers thanks for that, Youre kinda at the same stage as me with my ke55 starting to mount everything and prep for paint, but ive only got a 4agte going in mine. Whats the plan for the 1j? you just gonna run a stock bottom end or upgrade it to forgies? cause you can get a hell of alot of power out of a standard 1j with an upgraded turbo. Cheers, Keelan
  17. This thing is looking awesome mate, alot of quality work being put into it, keep us updated, just a quick question do do know the paint code or the name of the colour that the car is? Cheers, Keelan
  18. The engine mounts form the 20v conversion bolted straight to the 16v, they are custom metal brackets with ae86 engine mounts to standard cross member. I bought the rwd cooling for the 20v but never ended up fitting it to the car because i decided to go a 4agte 16v, if that answers ur questions. Cheers, Keelan
  19. yeah thats the only worry ive got about the rotors, ill fit them on some struts tonight. Cheers, Keelan
  20. Cheers mate thanks I havent actually checked the clearance of the bonnet, thanks for reminding me ill check it tonight. The manifold came with the motor so not real sure on the brand, i think it might be a backyard job or a performance shop job but its a pretty solid steampipe manifold. I'm running a microtech lt-10s with x4 ecu. The turbo thats on it now is a t28 off an s15. The motor is a 4agze. Cheers, Keelan
  21. Got my brake upgrade i designed back for the engineering shop today Larger rotor bolted to standard hub 300mm rotor Different thickness compared to old rotors Will be running ba/bf falcon calipers, will get some pics when fitted to car Cheers, Keelan
