This engine was most commonly found mated to a 4WD drivetrain although FWD models were also available in the capri XR2 & 323 GT.   3. yeh man I'm expecting the build to run outta control but would prefer the cash into the motor, but you know tax time is only a few months away which is a good little bonus i guess its just getting some ideas to what motor but leaning pretty strong to the sr20 provided i can find the right one at the right price, theres some ridiculous priced motors that who knows if there f@$ked for sale
  4. my mates running a ae93 4agze with 121hp at the front tyres, torquey yes, powerful erhh, it seems it needs so much more to get it boogieing its got front mount, microtech, fuel pump, full exhaust, all the work just doesnt do it for me, plus conversion fwd to rwd, needs some good money and tuning to wake it up. whereas my mate had a u13 bluebird import sss pulsar n14 with sr20det standard everything with dual stage boost controller and full exhaust and front mount and f@$k, it scared some quality ricers with a good bit of boost spool, i think the sr's looking like the path to go big turbo, good tune, wild times
  5. yeh 13bbp quiet not gonna happen, sorta leaves that stealth image way behind, my mates 13bbp is noisy as f@$k just at idle sorta dead set giveaway. i really really do love this datto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQNp0UvYyMo . the peashooter out the back to 3"dump does it for me, shame bout the roll cage check out the drive video in his other vids aswell. I love the bonnet pop from the shity mustard to the sterile clean engine bay of the sr. fully sleeper, but i'd black out that roll cage
  6. sounds fricken awesome 11's is mental in any car, disco potato, 3" exhaust, ecu. its all looking to hit the $5000 budget and easy enough to do and get engineered, plus wheelspin at 90 in 3rd spinning hard will be a challenge keeping straight, imagine the new owner of that VE 6.0lt hsv's face

  8. ive been trawling different forums and search's all day and been dreaming big and need some positive input from all whos got the time to read this post. I'm getting a ke35 that a mate has had for years and ive always wanted a berko project, and big respect for him moving it round with him over the years so i want something crazy. Now qld has some pretty lame engineering laws, but so do most states, but i just don't know what engine to put it this 35. I'm gonna do the hilux/pug/corona front brake conversion with coilovers and run a shortened borgwarner rear. keeping the rear leafs stiff with caltracks, instead of crazy fab work like 4link etc. I'm a fitter/turner by trade with access to all the tools id possibly need but can't figure out what motor. I also forgot to say the ke35 comes with a seized 13b. so naturally I'm thinking 13bbp, or pp. but i can't help but feel I'm restricted to a n/a rotor, whereas i could put in a turbo sr20. lets say the 13bpp makes 170-220rwhp, a sr20det tweeked makes 250+rwhp probably slightly laggy but legal, ca18 200-250rwhp etc. no chance in getting the 13b turbo registered so whats my options?. i have the car so it owes me nothing and will try to do the suspension as cheap as possible leaving me with an easy $5000 for a engine conversion. My main intention on building a bullshit 35 is to pull up next to a $70,000 hsv and drop the clutch and scare the shit out of them, also all the rice racers around, something old, stealth, grandad looking, quiet that f@$kin explodes and scares the shit out of the guy racing me.id like to do track racing and circuit, mainly street, I'm up for a bit of a mad challenge, whats my options legally? cheers and any input, any crazy ideas i'll consider it all.
  9. yeah the car was tuned by mazfix a reputable microtech tuner at springwood for a good day and the best they got was 121hp at 12psi; I'm no dyno genius but you wouldn't expect a more than a 30percent drop from flywheel to tyres; that gives a standard 4agze 120hp from standard 170 at the fly at standard boost standard computer standard intake exhaust. I just feel something is lacking and not right. The dyno showed a spike which i reckon was wheel slip or belt slip but they said it was fine.
  10. gday lads a mates got a ae93 with 4agze lt8microtech front mount extractors exhaust nevo 175mm pulley.bigger fuel pump tvis and air mod done; Took it to dyno a while back and made 121hp which i thought was f@$kin shit considering the work done to it. Anyways just put some bosch p3 4 fr7kpx platinums and gonna get some new leads; any good brand of leads out there? It runs coil packs so what sort of voltage should they have? Would it be adviseable to do an injectors upgrade? Whats stopping this car goin harder and what sorta figures do you guys get with similar mods? Cheers
  11. sounds like a good little car take a fully charged battery and a can of fuel and some aerostart and sandpaper or wire brush. Pull out the plugs one by one and give them a clean up quickly crank the engine to make sure your getting spark to the plugs and then take the aircleaner off and drop a cap of fuel down the carby. Shouldn't have much drama starting it. As for rust check out bottoms of front guards near the doors. The A pillers right near the windscreen inside the door and around the windscreen rubber themselves. Also lift the boot rubber up and check for rust in the weather strip real. Boots are common to rust in the bottom behind the wheel. Good luck with it mate

  13. chasing length for a corolla clutch cable. I got quoted 120 something new from toyota; i got a few cables sitting round; is there a set length for the cable with tolerances? I have a feeling my cable has stretched or is broken
  14. hey guys ive got a problem with my clutch, it seems its physically too long. wondering if a k40 and k50 clutch cables are different in length?. i pulled into my street the other day and the circlip popped off, pedal to the floor, changed to a new clip, it seemed to grab gears a little and not work as well as it should. Its a brand new clutch and the adjustment is all the way in to the last groove on the cable. has anyone needed to shorten there cable or am i looking at a f@$ked clutch?
  15. i got a 2" exhaust with extractors and single muffler, it sounds great and doesnt seem like ive lost backpressure. quiet idle but sounds good opening up the throttle
  16. is the nikki worth bolting on? I've modded one to a manifold and done all the shit to it but ended up losing intrest. Ive got a set of datsun twin su's or was thinking down the weber path but don't want something to big. I guess headwork, look at the cam, shave the head and do up the carb
  17. i know I'm gonna get cained for this post, but i got a 3k with a light cam grind,, f@$k knows what is it, anyway the motor is fully rebuilt, i think 20 or 40 over, small cam, got a set of 4 into 1 extractors, 2inch with single muffler, standard carb, standard shitty dizzy, standard rebuilt head. anyways its zippy sure, but can i keep driveability and make some more power to make it a little... crazy?, I'm assuming bit of headwork, maybe os valves, bigger cam - its probably standard, and carb upgrade. i have a 4k head with rocker gear that has been started to be ported and a nikki carb on a matchported inlet/head, wondering if that would liven it up or i should go another path, i know electric dizzy would help cause power really slops off bout 5 1/2grand. i know theres a post like this everyweek, ive studied the faq, but still i want a few results of how people went with ther motor, 3k or 4k and what they felt a worthwhile modification, cheers,adam
  18. e.o.i got a kawasaki klr 240 94 model, barbie colours aqua and purple, pretty f@$kin eyecatching, nice bike to ride-I'm just to heavy to make it a safe bike for me to ride, got everything had a top end rebuild, good tyres, seat, can supply indicators and mirrors, tossing up weather to register and road worthy or sell as is, not much at all required for rego. make an offer thru pm if your keen I'm chasing round the 1g mark depending on what you want, let me know and i'll bring photos up. very nice bike to ride on and off road. cheers adam

I realise the questions something like how longs a piece of string but f@$k I'm assuming theres a few people on here with ke55s and they have an idea of what they paid or what they'd pay.   21. got a td gemini butter yellow on 15's bout 10 spoke wheels or something, relatively rust free shell some repairs have been done and all looks good, slight ding in drivers door, runs well, g200, standard nikki carb, tighe 708 cam, ramflo airfilter, full 2.5" exhaust extractors, electric fuel pump, 5spd, new holden bought torque tube rubber mount, good tyres, slightly lowered bout 1.5" good interior, seat covers, stereo, sports steering wheel, car looks great and is a good buy, brand new clutch kit, all new fluids, motor gearbox diff, no rwc or rego unless you wish to pay more for the deal, $2000 firm western suburbs, gimme a call 0410315715 I'm on arvos starting at 230 this week but can organise someone to be there. worth a look if you want a car with nothing much left to do. sms me or some s*#t if u want pics this webpage is giving me grief trying to uploadthem anything u need to know or want to know pm, message, sms call what ever cheers adam got pics gimme tomorrow ill put them up, very cool car few pics up
  22. its a 4agze motor and the starter has shit itself, hes lookin to see if and 4age series starter fits or if its 4agze specific, cause it looks like a new one, or a 2nd hand 4agze one
  23. new and clean, i think the carbys had enough, i will check it in the needle and seat in the morning tho. has anyone had good luck with the nikki? i fitted one up at work on a manifold months ago and its been sitting in the shed, my hold off was reading bout a shorter throttle cable, but ill ziptie it up and see how i go. i was thinking twin sus but f@$k at the end of the day its a fair wack of money that could be spent on a 4age or 7k injected.
