  1. i tried my front lenses the other week, came up alright but nothing like those tail lights, did you just use a cloth and the autosol? thats what i used but got no where near those results. mine are quite cloudy
  2. I'm attpting to run the same setup let me know what happens,,, what jets are you running ill let u know my standard and we can work from ther, what fuel setup u running??? I'm running a Primary Fuel Jet: 137 Primary Air Corrector: 170 Primary Idle Jet: 50 Secondary Fuel Jet: 140 Secondary Air Corrector: 160 Secondary Idle Jet: 60 Pump Jet: 50 Emulsion Tubes: F-50 Venturi: 3.5 about to bolt on and will see how it runs standard pre turbo. should have the motor in tuesday. what setup in relation to jets and idles etc are you running? i have a homemade tuned manifold with 38mm tial gate running t3/t4 into a blower hat. waiting for my manifold to be machined.
  3. hey dudes, i bought my ke11 a couple of months ago, got the 3k in it and its had work done to it, without ripping it apart ive been told forgies, big cam - which i believe, and a freshen up. Motor still runs reco 3k small port head I have a set of 40mm sidedraft webers with manifold ive been itching to put on so i bought an extractor gasket, sused out the manifold with a good fit, then ripped the old manifold off the 3k to find 25mm intake ports. My weber manifold needs around 32mm. I bought a bigport head, reconditioned, lightly ported needs valve stem seals. Do i slap new stem seals in it,,... or put in 4k rocker gear, valves, guides and run the later model seals due to the whole "can't run big lift" story from how to build a tough k motor?? The way i see it is that the head has been reco'd, ready to go bar the stem seals, and it fits the weber manifold. Should i just get some decent hd springs and stem seals and off i go or do the 4k swap?? Cheers
  4. i mean retaining my original 3k rocker gear if the big port doesnt have rockers
  5. Thanks for the responses lads. Ive just got myself a bigport head too keep myself out of trouble. the 5k head runs 11cc so compression would be even higher. should i have any problems bolting a bigport to 3k with no rocker gear or is it needed??
  6. hey lads whats going down. sitting back with my new little ke11 and have a set of 40mm twin webers. Sold the 5k, now the ke11 has a 3k in it. head forged number 19 Years ago i bought the 40mm webers to put on my 5k with twin manifold, i also gained a worked head, and had it reconditioned to slap on the 5k with the webers. My sentence structure doesnt make sense to me yet so hopefully if your reading your on my level. Took the 3k carb and manifold off today and picked up a bigport extractor gasket to bolt the webers on. Port size of the existing head is roughly 25mm intake and 21/26mm exhaust. Extractor gasket is huge to suit big port head, but it actually matches my weber manifold and my extractors. Ive just unwrapped my 5k head, or so i was told... it never came with rocker posts so i don't know if it actually was,. but it does have the 2 lugs under 1 and 4 and has 13 forged number which corollawiki says is a 4k head... The port sizes are 32mm intake, and 29/25 h/w exhaust running 28.5mm exhaust ports and 38mm intake. ive just measured the combustion chamber and the measurement is 80mm over diameter, now knowing it must be a 5k head to suit 80.5mm bore,. I'm just curious after practically just measuing that combustion chamber (Doh), there would be no chance i could bolt this on to my 3k... is there anything else I'm better doing or should i chase up another head to suit my 3k?? i don't really wanna stuff rags in the head and diegrind 5 mm out of the 3k and funnel the webers in, or should i chase a 5k bottom end.... who fricken knowsss I'm over k motors but keep creeping back on to them cheers
  7. ITS ALIVE!!!! Swapped start erst and runs like a swiss watch, took it for a spirited drive and is way way way to floaty..... I was told its needs pitman arm, I wish to know if I can improve things before buying into a new front end. Anyone got some hot tips???? ʞ©$ɟ its light to drive.... Feels like my 5k in my 35
  8. awesome work looks like you got a kick of motivation when things work right!! good stuff look forward to seeing it make boost
  9. Whats the got with ke20 xmember, would that help you get your front narrower
  10. hahahah bzlbub, maybe jellybeans maybe... mechanicals first not a bad start got a welder coming before xmas hopefully and start playing round a bit cheers lads
  11. finally got me hot little hands on a ke11 6/70 ami built model. I don't know a great deal about these cars, but this was a good score, and ive always wanted one. Starter motor is shagged so i have replaced it the sarvo and got her running. it has a warm 3k with k40 4 spd and jap diff. Has had front brakes upgraded and been told its ke 20 hubs and rotors with ke35 discs. rear has reset king spring leafs. still retains ke10 front leaf interior seems pretty straight forward and original with ke20 seats in the front and everything else stock. door cards and parcel shelf have been cut out for speakers:( at the moment it runs well but will need a bit of mechanical tlc and body love. theres quite a bit of cancer in bubbles and scratches and surface rust but nothing worthy of wrecking the car. its going to be a slow work in progress and hopefully theres some ke1x lovers out there that can throw in some knowledge and assistance. Plans are to respray in original cirrus grey, get some red pinstriping, restore and polish all chrome and lights, and throw on my twin webers. any mods to make things easier, nicer to drive, must do's, etc would be fantastic but heres some photos while i get back to the new car Cheers!!!
  12. Anyone had any luck adapting a dual circuit master cylinder or booster?
  13. any more progress mate?? can't wait to see it done
  14. Banjo the boss!!! How's the wasted spark setup goin??? We had a chat for about an hour when you came round to pick up my xt130... Ke30.. lcas:) I have a set of Rt132/?? Struts in my rolla, I bought a set of xt130s for coilovers but its not going to happen. I have Monroe ft shocks withKFFL-15 king springs which happen to fit in the lower shock towers of the struts, just not sure about tops because I bought the car with them installed. I'll do a dirt cheap price on it because I wanna see a ke do Australia!!!!! Pm me for more details and you can come round and see the springs and take measurements. Hope your doing well. Cheers
  15. My first ke35 used to overheat chronicly I got the radiator overhauled for $90. The temp gauge never exceeded 1/3 and ran awesome. I will highly recommend getting it done in regards to the process of elimination to overheating. don't waste you time, recode your radiator mine was 75% blocked
  16. I saw em first!!!! Hahaha na this is the link " http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewitem?itemId=130793768243&index=15&nav=SEARCH&nid=33851761565 " theres some photos too to evaluate the damage. I think 3tc bore standard is 85 so not to bad to reco rebore and boost
  17. Looks the goods dude!!! I'm yet to drive my 3t but may get away with it this weekend. Look into 3tcgarage I believe its a great website
  18. Hey lads, looking at buying a very cheap set of 2k old forged pistons with scores on the piston crown and skirt.Wondering on how detrimental this is on its efficiency and reliability, the ad states.... " Some scratches on the side of the crowns (see pics). Crowns are 86mm (very typical for after market pistons to use 1mm undersized crown diameter), so the scratches could be buffed out (they normally don't touch the bore anyway). Only very minor scuffing on the skirts (very typical, no gouges". I have been contemplating ceramic coating but otherwise would I get away with a very light sand and could I bolt this in?? Any advice would be good. Are there tricks out there or do I steer clear?? Thanks
  19. Ramflos are good, sound good and work well, should easily find one for a weber
  20. saw a ke70 in oxley roundabout white, low with a9x scoop looked pretty tidy
  21. Spark plug or firing order??...
  22. BOV will be another definate addition to the setup, ive looked in to it and the return line is plumbed off the fuel pressure regulator back to the tank/surge. Thinking of going external surge tank but then thinking of running a line straight into the fuel tank. Has anyone had success boosting a weber and what tips do they have? i will update my build forum in a few days and hopefully make some more progress. Any knowlegde will be awesome Thanks
  23. Gday lads, i've been searching high and low on forums for straight information, and as per usual the internet stirs the pot with whats works for one or another, I'm doing a turbo 3tc with a t04e and have a dgav 32/36 weber with k&n blower hat. As far as i have gotten so far is to pinch some jets out of a weber 34adm from a xe falcon, and combined with my jets i picked up in my weber. I have researched what is adequate to run a 3t standard for the primary barrel. I have research ozgemini for a good guidance forum with pictures, and 3tcgarage has given me tips on jetting to start to work by and what to get the car going(N/A). My problem is that i havent had this carb running this engine in this car yet. And i'm bolting a turbo on to it and feeding boost straight away. What i'm under the assumption of at the moment is to... Purchase a plastic float as opposed to brass Copper spray all gaskets Run a RRFPR to suit Carb application Run a VL efi 070 bosch pump on the return line?? Run semi-standard or normal jets to suit the primary barrel, and then step up the fuel for my secondary barrel. Run a 8mm fuel line to carb, and use the original 6mm fuel line as a return to the tank. As for everything else, I'm sorta stuck. i will pick up a plastic float this week, and working on my intake/intercooler/exhaust setup. I will be picking up a wideband setup also, but mainly just chasing info on what i need/should be looking for to do to my weber to get it boost ready Any help would be ʞ©$ɟing amazing Thanks guys
  24. Put weight on it otherwise your wasting your time.I will often try to break the lock of the taper before I lift a car up to work on it now days. Leave a bit of the nut on. Or put a hammer on the other side of where your hitting. It's a pain in the ass dude
