  1. nice ride mate! my mate still has the gooseneck and 40mm sidedraft weber if your interested! i bet it hammers compared to that 850
  2. i just measured some 5k ones i took off recently, they are m10 x 1.25 x 25mm. under the assumption that the ARP203-2802 4age bolts are the same length there shouldn't be any dramas. try genuine or a bolt shop. my drama was i couldnt find any that had a 3-5mm blank(not threaded) under the bolt head and didnt want to increase that stress point.
  3. nothing it bolts straight in, swap things over if u need. read faqs
  4. I'm in on that group buy for the swaybar if you wanna put eoi up. havent spent any time or money on my poor little 11 but will be hammering this thread down the track. rears done, apart from height. now i just need to sort the front and needs it all. whats the easiest option for pitman arms and idler arms and is the collapsible steering column worthwhile?
  5. ive used old mate at the gabba and hes tops. i would probably run the car down on a trailer considering theres a few dollars of engine if you do burn something out. could you not swap back to the old air filter style to see if everything returns to normal? what does old mate at the carb shop think about it all?? other suggestion would be a bike tuner but again no dyno. i know there was a bloke who was a guru round slacks creek but not sure if he was all over itb's
  6. ill have a look at home for one, i had a bosch alternator i pulled from a pintara with a ca20 in it, i had to swap front housing and pulleys but it was practically brand new, just needed a few washers between the brackets to hold it on. when i was at the wreckers i just took a screwdriver and pulled out a few bosch regulators to see the difference and found some near new ones. i believe an auto lecy should be able to get you some for under $50. i would probably just do the alternator upgrade but, pretty easy and gives good power
  7. nice ride mate! you should reco your head and slap it on an 18r bottom, thats what they used to do for a bit more compression. sucks bout the valve spring but i don't know why they would be different. go all out get ya head reco and off ya go
  8. pull the drums off and gently pry back the rubber boots on the wheel cylinders, you will see fluid pour out of them if they are busted, are you losing fluid or just pedal feel? When was the last time you properly bled the system starting from back left back right front left front right? if your not down on fluid i would still bleed the system and then look at your options
  9. is it really bright or just a dull glow?? how is the earths? much meat left on the brushes?
  10. i like how they wear gloves, you wouldnt want that getting stuck between ya fingers!
  11. mate this thing is tops!!! nice build so far look forward to seeing it on the dirt!! go hard
  12. sounds like a long shot but what about Quik-steel?? big tube, kneed it up, roll it around a roughend spoke and press in to cone shape on a roughend face of the rim. that stuff is strong as frozen shit and cheap. if it reduces the amount of spokes moving by a degree it has to be an improvement. no idea how well it would work but no harm in trying. silvery/grey looking colour too
  13. wanna know also!!! nahh been ʞ©$ɟed around tryin to find a good cheap machinist in bris to do a manifold skim, picked up another weber carb last week, have been working on a few ideas on return lines and pricing pumps and fpr's. will be a little while as ive got projects at home now priority. will be putting shit up for sale soon, stay tuned on a sale/swap build
  14. cut out a hole in the floor about 4-5inches back same shape as you have, find a piece of steel to techscrew in over the old hole, move centre console back or i used an auto console cut the guts out and fitted the leather boot inside it. very easy covered heaps in build forums
  15. man this thing is awesome, saw it on cardomain years ago!! looks great can't wait to see it all tuned and sorted
  16. yeah i hear ya! batterys arent as cheap as multimeters but i wanna know if the batterys droped a cell or not charging does anyone elses charge light come on?
  17. hey lads, got the car all setup sweet and running, no dramas earlier but now the charge light is on. running a 3 prong alternator off the 3tc into a ke35 wiring loom, was running the charge wire to the B+, swapped to unknown/unable to see wire and charge light went out, that was from a selection of 3, one being b+, something and something..... burnt out my multimeter, in all honesty i think ive dropped a cell in my battery as its about 4 years old, small shit and occasionally starts and is charged heavily,... but any other likely cause of this situation before i buy a new battery?? cheers
  18. so anyways stopped ʞ©$ɟing around from work and rollas, rollas and work. pulled my finger out and finished the 3tc build. picked my misses up from work the other day. she hates my corolla but said its a bit faster then the old 5k. got 1994afc's old 3tc with extractors 2 1/4" full exhaust and 32/36 weber. runs nice. such a beautiful quiet idle, stops without dying like my old 4k and then lets loose over 3000rpm!!. ive run the secondary circuit with 34adm jets, probs a bit rich but to suit to a turbo setup. i have to get my manifold machined which was sposed to be about 3months ago for free.... no rush from both parties from lack of motivation... buttt now its running and driving round town I'm itching to feel some boost in it. shouldnt be much dramas now just need to sort out fuel and timing issues and then hook everything up...oh and probably mod plate it, but yeah can't fricken wait. it goes much better now and i would be happy with it, if it wasnt for the fact i have everything sittnig here ready for a bit of boost. Stay tuned. ill list what i need/do for anyone else down the track cheers pics to come
  19. nice one! i finished everything on my 3t today n/a.took it for a 1/2hr drive pulls hard but now i want boost. definatly more go than a k motor but want more
  20. love your work and motivation mate! well done
  21. ive always wanted to know this. i put up a post months ago about a perfect operating temp, i know some motors will run better colder, some hotter, i guess a dirty stinkin old pushrod non-crossflow would benefit from cooler temps. i guess run the fan cool but it all suits your outside temps and other factors.
  22. no 3tgte intake will not bolt up, exhaust will. get your hands on a 3tgte turbo manifold and a ct26 or 20b?!???,.... can be diegrinded out to fit ignore pollution gear cops wont recognise it all anyway, just attach carbon canister or required cat etc... just talk to nme308 on toymods about turboing a 3tc and have a ball. he ended up running 11s before the bottom end gave up due to big psi, very reliable setup but
  23. i think the 3tgeu can swap with a 5me or 7mge,. just wondering if you could adapt 2tgeu to suit. i know toymods is full of all that info
  24. http://www.cjclub.co.il/files/Weber3236adjust.pdf just for further reference
  25. looks pretty cool mate, had an old neighbour who had a bright yellow one he used to cut around to work. i actually have a 40mm sidedraft dellorto and gooseneck manifold at home, its my mates but its just been sitting round. was originaly run on a 1100cc. theres a bloke in west ipswich near the golf course that has heaps of minis he might be able to point u in the direction for the 1275
