So this weekend has been pretty hecktik putting crossmember and coilovers into the pearl what a mission to put the ca crossmember into the car so i sat the crossmember up into the car and two bolts lined up perfectly and then out came the drill and elongated the holes in the crossmember to sit perfectly in the car so now it all sits in the car overrated, to make the coilovers sit in the car i used the silvia lca's and drilled another hole in the lca for the original ke castor rod and used the silvia sway bar mount for the original ke sway bar and sits alright but not preferable so i might have to make up a longer sway bar mount, so coz i'm using the silvia gear i now need to make up an adaptor for the ke steering colomn to the s13 steering rack the ke colomn is smaller than the silvia rack so now i need to some how fuse the two together to make the ke colomn end meet silvia rack start if that makes sense to anybody, i will upload pics tomorrow lads and ladets

    Is there a manual gearbox that could hold your type of power besides something like a very expensive getrag or something? Congrats on consistantly propelling a rolla down the straight and continuing to keep people guessing what it's gonna run and how big the launch is gonna be, too bad about the gearbox not liking it's life anymore, keep up the good work mate cheers Justin
  6. No conversion is ever gonna be 'easy' man it all adds up to how much you wanna throw at the car man doesn't your mate have a ca slanty front? just copy all his stuff easy :)

  8. Wicked haven't really checked up on this thing in awhile man you have got your engine conversion done faster than i had even got half way through mine lol, atleast you can now drive it round again once you've built the motor

  10. So today i picked up my tien coilovers and front brakes for my front suspension conversion, i also organised a full ca18det manual harness for the car now i just gotta save money for a motor and box and what ever else it needs to get done to finish the car ;)

Hi boys and girls i have an update today i spent the day chasing up some parts for the ca conversion, i picked up an s13 crossmember, lca's, hubs, and power steering rack for the conversion to make life a little easier for the pearl when i feed it it's new motor, so now all i'm waitin for is the coilovers and brakes and the rest of the hubs to come my way probably mid this week, and as soon as the 4age is out of the way i'll throw the ca gear into the car i'll chuck some pics up of the crossmember and what not tomorrow. Oh also pulled out the heater box and fan out of the car man what a mission that was and next time i do it i'm taking the whole dash out instead of 80percent of it man what a mission never doing that again ;p

  14. Just an oil leak on the sump i didn't see before and when i trimmed down a pipe for the rwd water system i got happening was abit short where i trimmed it down just worrying about little things man no stress

Ok so not really an update sorta like a bad joo joo thing was mucking around with the 4age today and pulled the manifold off to play around with some water hoses and found something i didn't like so now the 4age is coming out and in it's place is gonna be a ca i no i have changed my mind but i think the ca will be alot more reliable anyways i no a ca is stepping away from toyota's heart but it will be more fun specially as a dori car so watch this space to see a work of art performed infront of your eyes as this car gets transformed into an awsome drift car the plans now are for a ca s13 crossmember, tien s13 coilovers, s13 brakes and lower control arms ca18det and a whole lot of fun i will hopefully be getting a whole heap of ca goodies this weekend so watch this space

I think a 2tg would be worth it to beat a 4k but i have had 2 of them in my ta22 and my 1st one dropped a valve and second one bent valves and always constantly had oil leaks and thats the worst thing about a t series engine they will leak alot if you don't seal them properly, and it is reasonably easy to get a 2tg into a ke70/ae71 all you need is the ae71 crossmember t18 rubber engine mounts and bobs your uncle fannys your aunt say hello to a 2tg 70, and the 4age is the same too it will go into the ae crossmember with stock 4ac steel and rubber engine mounts, i have never actually compared a 4age to a 2tg because i'm in the middle of the 4age conversion into my 70 but i can imagine it would be a wee bit better due to efi, if you do end up going 2tg man make sure you get rid of the solex's almost right away unless they are tuned to perfection because if not they are not the kindest of carbies to keep happy so find some webbers asap
  18. i have changed the dash in this from red and yellow painted gayness to stock base model GLI dash and painted a couple of things black in the dash like the stereo surround and clock surround for something different, fixed the low beam problem, it broke the water pump when i picked it up so i have also changed that now too so yeah here are some pics of what i have done to it nothing special but yeah atleast it's progress the dash that used to be in it was gay GLI dash with black touches broken tail lights new tail lights
  19. hay bud i am in the middle of putting a 4age into my flat front 70 and i have spent about 2 grand atm just gathering things and i still have plenty more to go TOO SETTLE ALL DEBATES IF YOU CAN GET AN S13 CROSSMEMBER FOR AN SR OR CA USE AN SR OR CA S13 CROSSMEMBER ELONGATE 2 HOLES 2 OR 3MM AND NO NEED FOR CUSTOM ENGINE MOUNTS ONLY CUSTOM GEARBOX CROSSMEMBER IT'S WHAT I'M GONNA DO TO MY 70 WHEN I BREAK MY 4AGE :D
  20. I have decided this is now a track only car so keep an eye out at archy for it in the next 6 to 12months depending on how much time and money i have to complete it

As stated above which is easier draw though turbo setup or blow through setup on a K series engine i no it sounds like a waste of time but i think it would be cool to have a next to stock K motor sneezing obviously it would have a cam and webber plus a t25 as i have both and am wondering which setup to do? Any advice is easier achieved and would work better
