hey guys picking myself up an ae71 this week for a grand with a roady its clean looks pretty good but bad part its auto, tho gives me a chance to save lol I'm just wondering what are some basic egine mods i could do to it to give it a lil bit of a kick?, plan on exhaust to start with thats sorted already but any other ideas? cheers in advance and no engine transplant is on the cards but not for awhile lol cheers :hmm:

eh really depended on how much would set me back maybe short shocks and springs will be my way haha

not sure what model they are but they are blue? hahah i don't know they been there for ages once i get the car ill get onto this ajps u talk about haha so basically I'm looking for 50mm strut, would they sell springs aswell?

yeh i am planning on a mod plate for it thx for the help I'm freakin so confused hahah its not hard haha

basically all i wanna do is get it lowish and stiff as if i can do that without changing much id be stoked haha

oh and if i don't go coilovers wats the best way and most legal way to lower the whole car?

hey guys, been on the forum for a bit had an ae71 corolla at one stage but got an offer i cudt refuse and sold it, now I'm about to pick up another ae71 spirit for a few hundred, manual, its stock as a rock with an old man owning it and been sitting uder a house, my question is ive read a bit on here and still unsure, as to lowering my old one had chopped springs was ok but wanna do it kinda legally lol I'm looking for coilovers for the front tho unsure what ones to get, i want adjustables but ive seen people use s13 and ae86 coilovers, in ur opinion what ones are easier and cheaper? i may come up with a few more questions as i go along but thanks in advance

yeh i ave a set of old simmons look alikes in the garage they ar 15s would look good in the crown gonna try them on when i get it or i got 18inch commodore rims which would look good but yeh..

just curious it has a 5 stud pattern but don't know what the pcd is? its an 81 model ive had a look around and can't find anything will commodore wheels fit it? or even falcon rims reason i ask is cos i have sets of these already lol cheers grant

i got a set of falcon springs in ym garage i see on alot of peoples cars they have falcon springs in them my question is how do u cut them down yeh i know angle grinder but to get a decent height ie: not too low or high how many coils u cut off? cheers grant

the ones i got for 100 with tyres were 14/6 i think i know they def 14s but lol

yeh trying to find another pair of hot wires i picked them up for $100 and everyone else seems to think their hotwires are worth like $200 with out tyres :dance:

hey guys been awhile well nothing much has happened cleaned her up a lil got new wheels on hot wires front and stock R31`s on the back needs to be a lil lower in the back i know but its rolling good for now :dance:

as u look at the engine at the back there is a metal plate on that plate it shud say what model car and everything shud even say what engine :wink:
