Come on guys and gals...I'm not even down that way and i would love to see this happen...what about all you guys who are always wanting to organise something??? Nows your chance!!!! :locked:
-
LOL oh he will show it alright no doubt about that... I'm currently working on some designs for his bonnet - tigers of course... some head shots and some close ups of just the eyes...i also have a full lenght shot which i think he will love - but we shall see... (goes back to drawing board and pulls out watercolours...)
-
No your supposed to say "esghetti and meatballs....then abracadabra alakazam" lol Well ive looked at this and i can't make up my mind... most of you know I'm a bit of a style guru...lol but i also want a car that goes the way it shows...no point in being all show and no go.... So i wont vote, but if i had the money i would have to con into using it for both for show purposes. A nice exterior look and a grumblin rengine for under the hood...lol then i guess you could say that it was all for style purposes...no point in having a gorgeous car with a rusted out, wheezing motor under the hood... My two cents.

;) schweeeeet... I like, very nice job there...
-
Hey thats cool I'm just throwing ideas at you...it is your choice completely.... LOL ^^^^ just saw your member number...how cool is that.... 1234
-
Just had a new idea... In regard to the bonnet...you could have it airbrushed with a lizard skin design and then have your lizard lazing on top of that.... or You know how lizards wrap themselves around things well you could have a half a lizard on one side of the bonnet - looking as though it is coming up from underneath it and then on the other side you could have the other half so it look like it is wrapped around the bonnet...
-
lol... No problemo...always glad to help with designs and colours. If you need anymore designs or colour ideas just ask...
-
LOl...did you check out the thread of Tigers design??? And are you going to go with the blowflies too??? lol
-
LOL ...No harm done on my end and i don't think that Tiger will have been offended either. Cool cool? So what do you think...is there anything specific you would like to do? Have we given you some more ideas???
-
Well considering that it is definitly different and the fact that it is a commodore....hmmm i don't mind it. I'm not entirely with you Dan in saying that it is the shizzle - but its different and different is good.
-
Well, you could also on the rear panel above the number plate have a little lizard with its head big yellow eyes and two front feet poking up as though he is sitting in the trunk looking out at the people behind him. and to go a little crazy on a couple of places on the car you could have little pink airbrushed blowflies buzzing round.... Then the interior - keep the original interior but respray the dash etc in a yellow or no...actually I'm thinking a dark green...then when you redo the material/vinyl inserts you could put in them little cut out shapes of lizards. All the colouring will be to suit the exterior of the car yellow, green and pink...
-
You think I'm finished???? We still have the iterior to design and the rest of the paintjob....lol
-
okay...sorry needed to change computers... Heres what I'm thinking...if you go a dark green lizard with a yellow underbelly sort of like a frog... then you can paint the car kermit green but along the sideskirts and the wheel arches you can let it blend into a yellow ( i know airbrushing) Then you can have your lizard draped over the bonnet with its tail either heading towards the windscreen or down over one of the wheel arches... and to add a dash of difference make it a cheeky lizard like on the bridgestone tyre add (i think) and have him poking his tongue out...
-
lol you said both so that is why i asked... hang on a sec for me...
-
oH oH oH !!!! jumps up and down... you have just given me the bestest ideas..... Now was it a frog or a lizard???
-
Hi RollaGirl, Great to see another lady member... In my opinion...i like aqua green for a colour... there is actually a ke55 on Toymods that is aqua and it looks very nice. You could even get a nice metallic version of this. Or then again you could go a nice treefrog green in a metallic glitter...yummy... Are you wanting a single flat colour or something fancy? Dual colours, themed design? You can really could make any colour suit your car if you wanted... lol i didnt even see your post tiger...

Firstly...I'm a she. :D Now, I have quoted you Muller not because i don't see where you are coming from - its just that you are a little off the point. GZE82 is talking about promoting Rollaclub. I have no qualms whatsoever as i mentioned; about whether those guys get out and go for a cruise - If anything, i say go for it!!! But when he is talking about promoting rollaclub that is where he did not really think about the situation at hand... (see above post for explanation) Rollaclub is called Rollaclub for a reason. We have absolutely no problems if when we go on cruises and whatnot if other cars are used as drivers because when you are in a cruise there are more likely going to be a whole bunch of people there who are able to provide the promoting for the corolla. If anything i don't think there will ever be a case where a cruise is strictly all corollas. But when you are particularly talking about the promoting of the the club via a cruise that is when i have to say that corollas would really be the best for the job. It shows the club as being professional and not just as a group of people driving any odd car promoting another car while they are at it - its very contradicting. You don't see fords going round promoting holdens do you??? Like i said, the Choppers have the attention they have because of how they look when they go out - its easy to promote a club - but to actually look like a club when you go out to promote it; is the hard task...but by far the most impressive of the two. And that is what we want to create - a lasting impression - because that is what draws members to us. I did not say at any time that people couldnt go out and get to know each other... in fact that is what a club is all about - going out and meeting people of like minds and interests and having fun in the process. Go out and Go nutz!!! I say - but just remember if you want to promote something - people look out for how proffessional it is done - NOT just how many people there are or what freebies they can gain from it. If you can show a club with a united front who knows what its on about - that is one of the best ways to attract the members who in the future may just be the finacial support for the club. People don't want to back something that appears dodgy or half thought about... I hope you understand and that no hard feelings have been taken in regard to this subject... your opinions are greatly valued ALL the time... Rolln16 :y:

:y: I know that its already been said quite enough but i just wanted to add my two cents... GZE82 you sound like a really fun person and i think that there are a lot of guys and girls out there that would love to come cruising with you. And I'm not saying that you can't do just that... You just have to remember when you are saying that it would be a promoter for the club that in order for that to happen Corollas would sort of have to be the vehicles displayed. It's great that you want to get out there and get into it! But you can't be promoting a club when you are in a group of cars that are merely "standing in daily drivers" and most likely not even corollas - wouldnt it be a little strange to have a bunch of guys and girls standing around their commodores, mitsibishis and the like handing out rollaclub stickers and promoting a club with just about every other car than the corolla itself. It would be like the West Coast Choppers going for a cruise on their grandmothers scooters wearing pink leotards and frilly skirts!!! We understand that you would love to bring to our club new members and not only are we thrilled to hear it we are always willing to welcome those members too - but just remember to think a little when you say you want to "promote" rollaclub. Rollaclub is about corollas both old and new - and the best way to promote our club is to have them come out in their best form and promote themselves as what they are; with the inclusion of their owners and sticker giveaways etc. And the bbq's that you say most people arent interested in - If you think about it- that is how you are going to meet all these new people and actually be able to talk to them about their cars and their ideas and get to know them. Not everyone just wants to go out and show off their ride by floogging it down some street or cruising around some mountain. Sometimes it is good to get to know people because not only do you develop a trust with them it makes the cruises when they actually happen that much better. But all that aside... Welcome to Rollaclub...We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you around the forums... If ever you need a hand there will always be someone here to help...Enjoy!!! Rolln16. :D

:) TIGER!!!!!!!!! Youve learnt something afterall....hehehe Okay - i can't resist.... I'm thinking yes go blue and white - but mostly blue with white inserts where you arent likely to be touching it with your skin...(sweat marks occur without sweat having to even get involved) or perhaps just use white as a pinstripe and go a pale blue instead of a dark one - lighter then the colour of the car...

I had this sent to me this morning by a colleague... If you have kids/know people who have kids, you need to read this - PLEASE read this Australian Police Officer's story carefully. You can also verify the story at http://www.snopes.com/toxins/dustoff.asp Dust Off (or a variant of the product) is available everywhere there's a computer. First I'm going to tell you a little about me and my family. My name is Jeff. I am a Police Officer for a city which is known nationwide for its crime rate (Brisbane). We have a lot of gangs and drugs. At one point we were # 2 in the nation in homicides per capita. I also have a police K-9 named Thor. He was certified in drugs and general duty. He retired at 3 years old because he was shot in the line of duty. He lives with us now and I still train with him because he likes it. I always liked the fact that there was no way to bring drugs into my house. Thor wouldn't allow it. He would tell on you. The reason I say this is so you understand that I know about drugs. I have taught in schools about drugs. My wife asks all our kids at least once a week if they used any drugs. Makes them promise they wont. I like building computers occasionally and started building a new one in February 2005. I also was working on some of my older computers. They were full of dust so on one of my trips to the computer store I bought a 3 pack of DUST OFF. Dust Off is a can of compressed air to blow dust off a computer. A few weeks later when I went to use one of them they were all used. I talked to my kids and my two sons both said they had used them on their computer and messing around with them. I yelled at them for wasting the 10 dollars I paid for them. On February 28 I went back to the computer store. They didn't have the 3 pack which I had bought on sale so I bought a single jumbo can of Dust Off. I went home and set it down beside my computer. On March 1st, I left for work at 10 PM. Just before midnight my wife went down and kissed Kyle goodnight. At 5:30 am the next morning Kathy went downstairs to wake Kyle up for school, before she left for work. He was propped up in bed with his legs crossed and his head leaning over. She called to him a few times to get up. He didn't move. He would sometimes tease her like this and pretend he fell back asleep. He was never easy togged up. She went in and shook his arm. He fell over. He was pale white and had the straw from the Dust Off can coming out of his mouth. He had the new can of Dust Off in his hands. Kyle was dead. I am a police officer and I had never heard of this. My wife is a nurse and she had never heard of this. We later found out from the coroner, after the autopsy, that only the propellant from the can of Dust off was in his system. No other drugs. Kyle had died between midnight and 1 AM I found out that using Dust Off is being done mostly by kids ages 9 through >15. They even have a name for it. It's called dusting. A take off from the Dust Off name. It gives them a slight high for about 10 seconds. It makes them dizzy. A boy who lives down the street from us showed Kyle how to do this about a month before. Kyle showed his best friend. Told him it was cool and it couldn't hurt you. Its just compressed air. His best friend said no. Kyle was wrong. It's not just compressed air. It also contains a propellant called R2. Its a refrigerant like what is used in your refrigerator. It is a heavy gas. Heavier than air. When you inhale it, it fills your lungs and keeps the good air, with oxygen, out. That's why you feel dizzy, buzzed. It decreases the oxygen to your brain, to your heart. Kyle was right. It can't hurt you. IT KILLS YOU. The horrible part about this is there is no warning. There is no level that kills you. It's not cumulative or an overdose; it can just go randomly, terribly wrong. Roll the dice and if your number comes up you die. IT'S NOT AN OVERDOSE. It's Russian Roulette. You don't die later. Or not feel good and say I've had too much. You usually die as you're breathing it in. If not, you die within 2 seconds of finishing "the hit." That's why the straw was still in Kyle's mouth when he died. Why his eyes were still open. The experts want to call this huffing. The kids don't believe it's huffing. As adults we tend to lump many things together. But it doesn't fit here. And that's why it's more accepted. There is no chemical reaction, no strong odour. It doesn't follow the huffing signals. Kyle complained a few days before he died of his tongue hurting. It probably did. The propellant causes frostbite. If I had only known. It's easy to say hey, it's my life and I'll do what I want. But it isn't. Others are always effected. This has forever changed our family's life. I have a hole in my heart and soul that can never be fixed. The pain is so immense I can't describe it. There's nowhere to run from it. I cry all the time and I don't ever cry. I do what I'm supposed to do but I don't really care. My kids are messed up. One won't talk about it. The other will only sleep in our room at night. And my wife, I can't even describe how bad she is taking this. I thought we were safe because of Thor.I thought we were safe because we knew about drugs and talked to our kids about them. After Kyle died another story came out. A Probation Officer went to the school system next to ours to speak with a student. While there he found a student using Dust Off in the bathroom. This student told him about another student who also had some in his locker. This is a rather affluent school system. They will tell you they don't have a drug problem there. So rather than tell everyone about this "new" way of getting high they found, they hid it. The probation officer told the media after Kyle's death and they, the school, then admitted to it. I know that if they would have told the media and I had heard, it wouldn't have been in my house. We need to get this out of our homes and school computer labs. Using Dust Off isn't new and some "professionals" do know about. It just isn't talked about much, except by the kids. They all seem to know bout it. April 2nd was 1 month since Kyle died. April 5th would have been his 15th birthday. And every weekday I catch myself sitting on the living room couch at 2:30 in the afternoon and waiting to see him get off the bus. I know Kyle is in heaven but I can't help but wonder If I have died and gone to Hell. The Officer is asking for everyone who receives this email to forward it to everyone in their address book, even Law Enforcement Officers. I have a little problem... Whenever i go into automotive discussion there is no fast reply button so to speak...is there a reason for this or is it another little hiccup???
