well i will try and organise to have a few cars out there for those who can't get a car to drive. finding the backyard bargains isnt as easy as it used to be unfortunately -
hey guys has been a while since i posted in this thread. if there is anyone interested i want to try and organise a campout/dirt drift/bush bashing weekend at my parents property. good chance to let loose =) i have a topic in the off topic section if anyone is keen

she already knows luke =) i told her before she first drove it the throttle was touchy, and it has a bit more poke than her sisters hyundai.....long story short she pulled out of the driveway sideways

hey guys and gals. my partner has been in need of a car for a while now. and since she couldnt drive mine(she only has auto licence) i have been on the look out for something for her. by chance i was dropping a car off for a wheel alignment, and saw this tidy little cressida sitting in the carpark. so happens the owner was selling it, and just needed a few things done before roadworthy. so long story short picked this beast up for $2500 with rego and roadworthy

sold to a good home..........my place =)

hey guys and gals of rollaclub. i have actually been thinking about this for a while, and thought i might as well put a up a topic for it. would anyone be keen on a campout one weekend? which would include some rally/dirt drifting/bush bashing? my parents own 90 acres just outside of warwick, which is mostly flat paddock except for a few washouts and contour banks. me and my mates have spent our fair share of time flogging cars around the bush out there, i don't think they would mind a few more =) its just a thought, some members on here may have not even had the priveledge to experience this before.

from what i have seen car is in pretty good shape. the front seats have a bit of wear and tear as any elderly car would. the rest of the interior is pretty clean. body is straight and paint is good. drives and handles really smooth. just had roadworthy done by the bloke i use, and he is pretty strict on safety. just drove past and noticed the car wasnt there so see how we go =(

Hey guys the missus is in need of a car to get around in with the kids. It needed to be roomy, automatic, air con, and relatively cheap. As it so happens an mx83 cressida grande has popped up for 2000 with a roadworthy. Its clean, runs well, auto, and of course its a toyota. I have never owned a cressida so don't know what to look out for and whether it is a good buy? It also has towing capabilities which would be handy. Any help would be great. Cheers brendan

ok guys finally got some pics up, not much to look at..........ok its just not much to look at at the moment.

well played sir. unfortunately i havent done any scrub bashing in one of these, although i have done plenty in a ke70 and a datsun 120y\/\/\/
-
now what exactly do you mean by bashing? because out here in hillbillyville bashing means jumping over contour banks and dirt drifting. speaking of which i need to get out to the olds and fill me lungs up with dust again......been too long =)

hey there guys. a few years ago before i got the subaru, and before we had 2 kids, i used to own a 1983 mazda 929. i picked it up from a blokes front lawn for a few hunded bucks. the dash was cracked, the air con didnt work, it overheated, the shocks were rooted, but it was my first car, and i loved it to bits. this is it after wheels and exhaust. after owning it for nearly 4 years, and moving to brisbane, the old girl started to get abit tired. after god knows how many k's and lowering it nearly to the ground, the gearbox and clutch finally called it quits. unfortunately i didnt have the cash to fix it, and with my partner pregnant with our oldest son, i made the stupid mistake of send it to the wreckers, for a measely $120. i have regretted it every day since. so a few weeks back i dropped a car from work down to a mechanic for a wheel alignment or something, i spotted this dirty red roof over the fence from the gate. after a bit of a nosey i found out it was a 1979 mazda 626, with the 2 litre and 4 speed manual. it has rust in the usual spots, covered in sap and leaves from the tree it was under, and the horses in the paddock were using it as a scratching post. (sounds pretty bad huh?) anyway got talking to the owner, turns out the owner had brought it to the shop for a tune up...and never came back for it. he rang the owner up to see what the go was, only to find out he had bought another car, so instead of paying for the tune he just gave him the car, which his kids decided to use to learn to drive in. he said if i wanted it i could have it for $200. so long story short jump pack+jerry can of fuel+trade plate= new project in the carport. havent got any pics at the moment but will put some before and after pics up asap.

1970 rolla I'm from warwick too bud! i think i know the one you are talking about....the bloke that owns it is on his l's? i saw it at the panel shop the other day. now when i say 'near overrated', I'm just going off what any car would look like having 2 owners and being in a storage shed for the last 8 years\/\/\/

Hey guys one of my mates was just curious, what is a near overrated condition ke10 worth? Its completely original besides 3k engine. Its 2 speed toyoglide, all original interior, very minor surface rust, with all chrome trim and badges still intact and in place. Plus a complete brand new rubber door and window seal set. Cheers brendan

My best mate decided that his partners n16 pulsar needed an oil change. So he gets the tray under the car, undoes the plug and let's the oil out, and puts the plug back in. He then started filling the car up with oil, but after about half a bottle he checks the dipstick and its over the full mark? Not thinking anything of it put everything back together and thought it was right to drive.....few kms down the road the auto box starts making funny noises....... my father in law calls him mechanically retarded, he had drained the tranny fluid :)
