  1. ttt will be putting up on ebay soon
  2. my local mechanic is actually starting up in group n with a KE10 as well. he has been racing for a while and he knows his stuff. if you need to know anything i would highly recommend a chat with him.
  3. It is going to need a fair bit of work though. Were the 4m and 5 speed strong? I have had no experience with crowns before so this is all new to me
  4. Yeah I reckon. Not only that he has two more sitting in the yard for spares, wonder if he would do a package deal?
  5. bump down to $8500 guys
  6. unfortunately its not in quite as good condition as that one, would need a fair bit of work. but the end result would be worth it i reckon
  7. the owner was pretty sure it was 5 speed, and i didnt even check to see if it had powere steering. should have looked abit more closely
  8. hey guys and gals. just outside of town i saw an old crown sitting in this blokes yard. i have driven past it countless times and have never had a chance to have a look. i had a g/f free lunch hour today so i thought i might have a look. turns out its an MS65 sedan, not sure of year exactly but i know its running a 4M with a 5 speed, air con and electronic ignition. it has been sitting for a while so there is rust in the usual places, but all chrome is intact and in good condition. the bloke wants a few hundred for it, so i thought i might speak up to my fellow toyota fans and see whether it would be worth it? cheers brendan
  9. thats why i love loving in a country town! i learned to drive on back roads and paddocks! in my honest opinion, if they can find a deserted road or roads that they can thrash on, let them go for it. but so long as they are willing to take responsibility for their actions if something does go wrong. hell i have been there and done that, all part of the learning process. best way would be like some of you have said a skid pan, or make friends with someone from out of town who has a property and just make your own tracks. best fun i have ever had was a home made rally track at mum and dads property in the keto!
  10. bump up for $9000 now guys need a family car or cash, missus needs a car.
  11. i kinda felt bad i didnt bring mine down with the other cars....although ella got some snaps of it almost boxed in by some bogan in a van out front\/\/
  12. i wish my car was cool enough that people would leave notes! although living in a country town i have a feeling everyone here already knows who owns it =)
  13. some pretty interesting facts there guys, but not exactly the plan i was going for. this will probably sound really stupid, and i feel kinda stupid for asking, but if you hooked an E charger up to the intercooler, would the air coming out be cold enough to be like a homemade air con? i know you are probably laughing right now, it was just a thought i had one day
  14. just thought i might ask around, how cold is the air that comes out of an intercooler? also how cold would it be if you ran an electric fan on the intake end instead of a turbo? probably sounds stupid i just wanted to know for a bit of an experiment
  15. i think i wanna be there for that last one luke!
  16. well i am going to be up on the 20th for the all jap car show, so we will see how we go then hey :)
  17. it has begun.......
  18. ah well i was just about to say if you want the ass end to look abit fatter i got 205/60R13 tyres for the back of my coupe, makes it look abit tougher
  19. car is now back up for sale. $9500 or swaps for clean family car
  20. hmm i will have to be up pretty early if i am going to be meeting at that time. will have to leave just after 3. darn you living in the stix
  21. just another thing i thought i would toss up, are there any benefits to installing a thermo fan? i can get a new 12 inch one pretty cheap, but does it really make much difference? we had to modify the new radiator because it was out of a KE20, so the fan shroud doesnt bolt back up, maybe just take the engine fan off and run the thermo?
  22. hope so don't get many....well any actually out here. havent seen once since i worked in brissy
  23. Another thing you could do is get a pcd gauge, which you could probably pick up from eBay or your local tyre shop if they are willing to get one in for you. I bought mine through work for a out ten bucks through performance wheels I think
  24. Well Okely dokely then if anyone needs any 35 coupe parts that I can fit in the car to take up just let me know. I did have a parts topic up somewhere in there if you want to have a browse
  25. Oh thought I might just add this. Would it be inappropriate for me touring some spare coupe parts along that I have for sale as I don't get up to the coast very often?
