  1. After the last couple of weeks working on the rolla the list of things to do is finally getting smaller I can see the light at the end of the tunnel :greenbounce: so today I thought I'd tackle the worst of the rust the in right rear quarter we had another quarter panel that we thought was good but someone had done a really shit rust repair on it and filled it with bog so ill be making a replacement peace for the bottom of the quarter
  2. I've put a couple extra bits into the cage clutch and brake master cylinder are both mounted after some stuffing around had to put the clutch master under the dash which caused issues in its self with the lack of room to run the line thank god for my new plasma cutter
  3. The roll cage is starting to come together just a couple more bits to go :hmm:
  4. Hey thanks Matt  Neil (the owner of the car) wanted the turbo mounted down low and it made it easier to make the turbo dump pipe
  5. cheers Carlos its stainless steel
  6. started to finish off the roll cage today putting in the removable side intrusion bars and finished off a few welds on the pipe work and mounted the oil cooler slowly making some progress :)
  7. its getting there :D intercooler and radiator mounted now its time for all the pipe work
  8. After a few more hours of work on the rolla today I have finally got all the rear brake lines made and fitted and plumbed up the wildwood brake proportioning valve as well as the handbrake now i'm just waiting on the new master cylinder to turn up then it should have some brakes
  9. yeah I'm not sure if it will be done in time there's still heaps of work to do. I spent a little more time on the rolla today cleaning up all the manifold and dump pipes
  10. Ha yeah it was easier than trying to set up a cable setup and it will help hold the car while its staged instead of having your foot on the clutch brake and accelerator all at the same time you can just put it in first gear foot on the clutch hold the handbrake on and bring the rev's up let go of the handbrake and drop the clutch and away you go
  11. Cheers guys yeah Vbands so much better than a normal exhaust flange no leaking no gaskets no bolts to worry about and its nice and easy to drop the exhaust out at the track. I spent some time today making the mount for the handbrake
  12. Finally the exhaust is finished ;)
  13. I think this will answer your question
  14. well after a few hours of welding the turbo manifold is finished just need to pickle it to clean it up and its ready to go :P:
  15. Hey guys its been a while but the 1j rolla is getting some more love  I've been working on the new turbo manifold the last couple days with lots more updates to come in the following weeks
  16. Hey thanks yeah it's good to have it running again and it's as lumpy as all %$#@ lol I know what your thinking yeah you should do it wouldn't be hard at all :y:
  17. Hey mate yeah not much has been going on with the rolla been busy i'm working 6 days a week but at least now i have a full fab shop at my disposal :P better than the old angle grinder and welder and a hammer i've been using :blinks: and i've been playing around with the ute and got that up and running again plans are to get it out this sunday clean it up and do some work on try and get a few more things on the massive list done
  18. Yeah he needs to sell it to be able to pump some more money into the 1jz rolla and get it up and going be a shame to see it go tho its been one hell of a rolla :D
  19. yeah ours were a single spring set up na i don't do porting i leave that to people who have a flow bench & know what they are doing lol
  20. Ha yeah thats gonna sound lumpy as all f#$% your gonna need springs & retainers and shit i think we had the spring seats in the head machined out to take the springs we need and a good port job that flows well will go a long way too
  21. think the cam we put in Neil's was 113 or 114 lobe separation keeping as much lift as possible (regrind) good from 3500 to 7000 needs a bit of head work tho to really get the most out of it tho even makes good power off boost in NA mode (supercharger is set up to activate off RPM trigger & throttle position)
  22. yep what he said be good to see this finished another boosted rolla to go cruising with
