  1. we used a Wolf 3D V4 with a handset on ours (they were just released when we got it) it was one of a couple at the time that would do what we wanted yes there are cheaper computers out there that will do the job 7grand may sound a bit excessive but when everything is custom made and when you see whats included in that its really not that bad considering we are pushing very close to 130kw atw out of a 5k considering most 4age struggle to make 100kw atw standard 7k efi set up is good up to about 100kw atw with a little bit of work before it gets too restrictive from what i have seen but its definitely cheaper way to go

It good to see you idiots have any idea on what it actually costs to make a totaly custom efi setup and have it tuned and running on the car considering there's nearly 3g worth of computer alone I've been building cars and motors for people longer than you guys have been wiping your own arses
  3. hey a blow through setup is a bit pain to do because of the carby and fuel pressures but it can be done the best thing to do there is go see a carby specialist and ask him what would be the best carby to use and how much to set it up I take it you want a intercooler other wise i'd just go for a draw through then you could still use your webber and manifold and save your self some cash you say you already have a electronic dizzy,extractors and a rising rate reg all you need is the supercharger and a little bit of pipe work 8psi and your there :y: the only things you will need to do re jet the webber and re curve the dizzy to suit cam and you should have around 80-90kw and about 300-350nm atw if set up rite be like putting a vn v6 in it the efi setup on my mates 55 cost a shit load as it is all custom made so if you did it under 7grand i'd call you God ha and thats not including the motor which is full of goodness :P efi does has its perks tho he can drive his around off boost like a normal rolla or mash the pedal to the floor and the supercharger will engage and off you go if you stay 8psi or under you can get away with out intercooling or touching the motor but if you wanna run more boost you will need to intercool it and decomp the motor down to about 8.5.1 good forged pistons O'ring the block and head it will take 18psi all day long

Hey mate bang for buck your better off supercharging it i have a mate's who"s got a 4k with twin webbers big cam heaps of head work forgies big comprestion he spent over $6000 on buitding it and it only made 64kw atw and i've bolted a sc14 to a totaly standard 4k with a draw through set up and made 78kw atw running 8psi which cost me $2200 dyno tuned ready to go currently helping a mate with his 5k efi intercooled set up running over 22psi making over well over 110kw atw smokes 3rd gear at 60

  7. got the intercooler mounted now just gotta weld the top mounts in and started remaking the turbo manifold wasn't happy with the 6-1 just too tight for room so i changed it to 6-2-1 to give me some more clearance

  11. after a lot of stuffing around we decided to use an aftermarket intake and 100mm throttle body the firewall needed a little bit of work to get it to fit :blinks:

  13. Hey guys it's been a while since i've done a updated on the rolla Things have been moving slowly because i had a full wrist reconstruction but it's time to get back into it so stay tuned lots more to come in the following weeks
  14. Hey guys Its been a while since i've touched the rolla so i thought it was time i started making the turbo manifold.. Had the base plates profile cut from 16mm thick stainless don't think there gonna warp in a hurry lol got all my bends and pipe now its time to start putting it all together

  16. ha go the double post cheers Ryan got another standard red 5L sitting around (wanted to put it in a ke30 two door sedan) so might strip out some of the good stuff out of my other 1 and put it in the ute till i can get the stroker :blush:

  20. that's not bad at all :dance: this other motor was been built to run on methanol think he said it was 15.1 compression ratio 8600 redline nasty nasty motor :blush:
  21. :P the ute is mine and the rolla is neils :blush: I've got something for that pushrod dinosaur that will make you love it :fuzz: just needs a rebuild it had one years ago but its sat around for at least 7 and never been used front housing is off been polished still spins really nice and no play in the shaft :dance:
  22. Na my mate hasn't even built it yet still needs to be bored and decked should be good for about 800hp at the crank think i might de tune it a little tho around 600hp so i can still run pump fuel
  23. hmmm the tonner it came to a early death lost oil pressure at 6700rpm the oil pump drive shaft broke so she chewed the crank out there go's 8g's :S but 1 of my mate has a full rolla 355 big dollar motor that i'm looking at should do 9's in a vb commo so should be really fun in the ute :D
