  1. Cheers for replying.. Think Commodore may be a tad big in the 10.. thinking maybe a ke70 item may do the job... Ke10 seems to work.. but got old dried cristalised coolant blocking the radiator.. And have had no luck cleaning it.. :(
  2. turbo 4k.. blocked radiator... so an upgrade wouldn't hurt..
  3. was looking into alloy.. but not going for looks... as long as it helps cooling.. ke10 bay is not big, and I don't want to modify anything to a non reversible state.. as it is I feel bad modifying seeing I'm the 2nd owner

  5. Just wondering if anyone knows of any radiators that are easy to fit in a ke10 without modifying the car itself? Looking for an upgrade in my car but don't want to Modify the body by drilling or cutting.
  6. Exhaust was installed yesterday... A little silent... but 2.5" so flow should be fine... shows 10psi now and seems to move quite well... better than the old K :) should be keeping up with traffic a little better now
  7. 4k turbo 1967 ke10 Corolla: Cleaning cob webs out.. still needs an exhaust.. been lazy.. I did see a tiny 3psi :( need more boost and a fuel pressure regulator.. standard pump is flooding carby...

  10. Don't know if you can help. Do you need to run a rising rate fuel regulator(designed for turbo run a boost line to reg and flows more under boost)? I m building a draw through ke10 and got the rising rate for carb turbo.. but not too sure if a single Stromberg su thing will need it..
  11. Thanks for the help... Again :) Fkn pissed.. thing was running well and I was planning on driving to an exhaust shop soon.. but now running on 3 cyl and for some reason my. Brand new tacho has died... Not having much luck
  12. Any opinions on what plugs and leads to run on a turbo k series? Currently 4k and now running on 3cyl.. So hope it's plugs... Or I have lost a cyl somehow..
  13. Boost gauge is connected in the cross over pipe from the inlet manifold to turbo.. So it should be OK... Only thing I can think of is that its making boost but possibly because there is fuel in the boost line it is blocking flow to the gauge? I'd assume the pressure would bypass the fuel.. But I dunno.. Need to take it for a drive again.. But can't be farked moving the wife's escort out the way..

  15. Hey, My parents "MAY" have come across a custom built unused for many many years 5 speed box to suit ke10... well this is what they have been told anyways, does anyone have a picture showing the different shifter locations so I can give them a copy to compare to the box?
  16. taken it around the block yesterday with exhaust finishing around the firewall.. Couldnt rev it hard as the neighbours may get upset .... boost gauge didnt show any boost? could this be the lack of back pressure? not revving hard enough?? maybe screwed turbo? can hear it spool but showing nothing.... if its a t2 hi flow any idea what sort of revs i should see psi? atlest it sounds cool now :) https://www.facebook...443372203971528 just happy it moves at the moment.. i had my doubts
  17. Hey got my setup working.. But not sure where to run boost gauge line to? Got it in my pipe from turbo to inlet manifold but getting fuel in the line obviously... Will that destroy my autometer gauge?
  18. Got it started yesterday with no exhaust.. Sounded Luke a truck.. But it runs!
  19. May consider selling it if anyone is interested.. will regret it as always.. Was running but i went overseas for 6 months come home and fuel pump has died.. will need a few bits and bobs (as i have taken some gauges out for my other rolla) and wiring (although was working) could do with some TLC and body needs to be done.. Not gonna give it away as it has cost me too much... and id prefer to keep it than sell for nothing again.. genuine offers over $2500 will get me interested. Only considering selling so I have more space in my shed for my other corolla Will come with heaps of parts and most parts are in good/excellent condition (seats are good - except for where my studded belt scratched the drivers seat) tail lights are good/grill and bumpers re good from memory) has a spre bonnet and possibly guards/doors/fuel tank.. can't remember everything. again, don't want to sell.. just need space and trying to prioritize
  20. if i get a photo of the dizzy could you identify it? or how do i know what it is.. its points and the dizzy cap is a shit load bigger than the original k.. does The reluctor type run points or electronic? have ordered msd 6btm to control boost timing so i don't think i have to lock it? i could be wrong..
  21. Hey, Building a ke10 turbo.. It is currently on a 4k but have a 5k i will be building asap. The question I have is, the 4k has the standard 4k dizzy on it which has a coil with a resistor. The ke10 never had a resistor.. Can I run a non resistor type coil (gt40 type thing) with the 4k dizzy or are they built to match? would there be any benefit of swapping the dizzy over to a ke10 type? seems the girl is cranking but not starting and has very little to no spark.. once io get decent spark out of a coil ill worry about leads and things
  22. motor sitting in engine bay.. need some 4k gearbox bolts as my K bolts have a different thread, and need some allen key bolts so i can mount my manifold.. Hopefully my MSD 6BTM will arrive soon also... slowly getting there.
  23. Pretty sure turbo is higher than fuel pump. I'll look into that but where the return line faces it may be easier to go to sump.. Will have to have a look today, thanks for the idea
  24. Slowly getting bits done.. Decided to run an elec fuel pump rather than standard. Got regulator and pressure gauge sitting in bay ready for motor install.. Also got my oil feed line today.. Just waiting on my pump and have to get someone to weld in a return line in my sump. Then in she goes.. Then bang she goes.. But hope it last till I build the 5k
  25. heres a little picture of the time bomb 4k ill be wacking in until i find a 5k bottom end.. just need a few things before i start fitting it..
