Yeah never went back to NZ just sorted a lot of shit out. New job with zero stress helped a lot.
Got the gurney out and cleaned the back seats and boot liner. Will probably do the door cards by hand seeing as they're wood.
Easter break will be a lot of body touch ups. Hopefully I can get touch up rattle cans close to the silver.
Boot garnish is smashed, if anyone has one hit me up, or an entire boot in silver.

Well my knowledge of this chassis just went from zero to +1 lol.

The noise is almost as good as the supercharged ke70.
Maybe AS good.
Slower, but still good.

So I had the ghetto boosted hilux and it just wasn't making me happy. I really liked the r33 and was gutted I sold it to buy the ute for my failed attempt at a business.
But I got a new job, paying well and a mate had a Rolla but needed a ute. And he wanted my ute. And after I test drove his car we swapped.
So this is it.
AE101 sedan with a blacktop 20v with a bunch of SQ goodies. Full exhaust. Coilovers. Sw20 seats. C56 (non lsd, yet).
One of those defi style all in one gauges.
Body is a bit rough but the grin on my face when I drive it is all that matters.

I'LL get some better pics in the next few days. Will have a good once over on the Easter break and probably do a dodgy rattle can on the boot so it kinda matches.
It's been a while but it feels right.

If it's missing stuff it's just weight reduction anyway. Mine ended up losing about 50% of the hardware, purely because I was pulling it apart so much. Mainly trim stuff.
But yeah, front guards, 4 bolts, if they were lucky. Lol.
Dash. Maybe 3.
Shit like that, never mechanical.
Have fun.

Might....
May possibly...
Could be...
Fingers crossed...
Be back in a pre 70s Toyota in a few days.

Buy quad light setup, genuine japanese/newzealand will cost you a bit, including grill.
If you have flat front already, just a matter of bolting it all up.
Wiring might be an issue if you are not electrically minded. I cant remember if OEM the quad lights are sealed beams or if they are H4 bulb. either way to get the inside lights to light up you will need to run a relay from your high beam.
They are sealed but semi sealed globes to suit h4s are readily available.
I can supply a basic plug and play loom for quads

Being fucking miserable and realising it's not you but the missus and all she does is make you feel like a cunt.
Then realising you have 2 kids with her.
Then wondering whether to be happy or be miserable.
Then deciding to be happy and it means I gotta tell my 4 and 8 year old why I'm moving to another state.
And the fall out from it all....

Where are you located? Finding a good condition 2nd hand one in Australia should be a piece of cake.
-
I had a 79 Mazda 626. Then a quad headlight KE70 in New Zealand that used to be a rotary.
Before my rolla days in Aussie I had a tx3 ford laser.

I'll be down pending life and work.

I had a similar issue. I don't know if it was old age of the points or what. But when the car got warm the metal of the points expanded and the points gap closed (this is a guess). I managed to get it to a mates and recapped them and it was fine.
