The dizzy has a vacuum looking tube coming from it? and yeah i don't remember the spring at the pedalbox but there is one at the gearbox. i feel like there is somthing I'm missing to hold the cable sheathe near the gearbox. but the cable is no cable tension and its not pulling the clutch arm Cheers

sorry guys i didnt know what an eletric dizzy was so i had to go and google it but my Coil is a GT40T bosch super sports coil 12 volt and the head is pretty shaved The head I don't know if you guys can tell anything from the photo but i figured i would try to explain Cheers

Hey guys i seem to have more threads than most so i thought i would do a thread that I'm going to shit you all with questions until you personally come around my house and kill me hahaha I was talking to my mate and he said i couldn't use premium in my car? it a standard 5k engine with a ported and shaved head. Is this true and would I and would I also have to use valve saver fluid or a lead additive? In a ke30 does the exhaust have to go over the rear diff and is there any way to get my diff centred again it looks to be to the right a little bit ? Ahh and also what’s an igniter? I have a GT coil what else does it need to work besides the positive and ground on the rear of it? Sorry guys i will be updating this thread probably almost daily because i'm working hard to get it working so i will have a car again and I'm trying to get the ke30 working yay Cheers guys

Yeah its probably shitted it turns it over so it should good enough with the help of internal combustion lol but that will probably have to be upgraded later on.

Heeyy ITS WORKS!! it cranks over but its quite a slow crank? its it still good? with the i think its a 3K starter should it still be good and I'm pretty sure the engine has a massive amount of compression (due t the head being shaved a lot ) ill have to get a carby and see if its enough to start the car. thanks again man

Yeah the engine came with a black and yellow striped wire ill try that where the old one used to be thanks dave

i suppose not i was just thinking about it but i figured it would be ground by the engine mounts? would the rubber interfere?

Hey guys I think ive wired it up right but its not cranking over? ok information, I have the neutral going to the front left strut tower on of the three bolts as my battery neutral, and i have 2 wires running to the starter motor the big thick one. The trigger wire which i believe to be a positive trigger switch i put on the positive to the battery which i believe should make it crank? Is there anything else i am missing like a ground for the Starter i figured it should be sweet because its bolted to the bell housing or is the trigger neutral but it show's in the picture in the knowlege base in this section the trigger to be positive http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...Starting_System Ive had a look around but came up with nothing. Hey guys I was looking at getting another carby for my 5k i tried the Nikki type ones but i couldn't find a complete one and there is only a 4k one at the wreckers Would i be able to mod that to fit the 5k? i have a 5k one but its missing like half of it. So guys will it work? Cheers

Yeah lol there was 3 big ones that weren't plugged in one was for the ignition key barrel thing the 2 other big long ones i also plugged in the plugs that are soldered to the ignition are any of them meant to have a current or they all neutral? thanks evan

ahh ok i don't know where the relay is? nah no lights work at all and the battery and fuses are good what colour are the wire's for all that stuff on the battery positive? ok cool do you have any ideas why I'm not getting power to any of my lights blinkers and how does the starter work? is it a big constant wire with a trigger postive wire? Ahh and i also looked at the fuses they are all good

so the alternator wire goes to the battery or the alternator?

i need some help identifying These wire's I'm trying to get my blinkers, all lights and Starter motor wired and I'm not getting power to anything dammit iv'e checked the battery and its fine Here are some pictures i don't really know what they are The white one is defiantly live neither of these seem to be live do these belong on the coil? i don't have a clue what any of these are lol

So i suppose the rims i just bought are gonna need new tyres to fit they are 245/50/14 (will massive offset cancel out this or is it too much tyre?) and does anyone know what brand of rim they are they were sold as sigma rims but i don't remember any sigmas out with as cool rims Sorry for hijacking your thread mate Here's a pic of the rims theyre 14 by 7 don't know the offset

ahhh ok when i put the head back on i just put the rods into the tappet (what i think are tappets) and just torqued down ill google it now

ooo whats lifter preload? if you mean the preload on the lifters from the rods they all seem to be in there snug nothing falling out. Cheers taz and philbey

Hey guys i just completed my head gasket on a 5k but when i did it does it have to be timed in or anything like that? I just thought i would ask before i start the engine before i break it lol I just called toyota about a 5k fuel pump and they want 126.00 for one and thats a bit pricey for me lol do you guys know of anywhere i can get one cheaper or will a modded 4k one work?
