Head gasket takes about an 1-2 hours to do dude. It's seriously not that hard to do.

Get all the boys together, provide them with beer and a head gasket and a torque wrench, and your car will be done in a matter of hours

I'll even do your car for you Nawty4. Just give me a half carton of JD's & Coke and we'll call it even.

 

I have the torque wrench and appropriate sockets. you just need to provide me with a head gasket and inlet/exhaust manifold gasket.

apparently it needs a rebuild to so the beast will be out of action. its running low compression in 2 cylenders and the rear seals gone too not to mention any thing else the mechanic hasnt found

Yes, I agree with Raven. The SA crews travel tim eis a little more than initially thought... sorry about that!

 

When I first posted the idea for this run up I penned it as a yearly meet, if all goes well anyway! This will also give us an insight into what would be needed/not needed next year to make the trip bigger (not to big) and better!

 

Well, its almost here for this year anyway! So I will be seeing Raven and raceflorolla (you are coming arent you? You paid!) from the SA reg very soon!

Mick i would love to prove you wrong...ive been hanging to go for a cruise, and as nawty4 said, why does it decide to pick this week? :D who knows... I havent had time to go to u pull it either, and i don't think the're open today(australia day)...so I'm kind of running out of time! Trust me, ill be trying my best to pull everthing off tonight and back on by tomorrow!!Provided i find a head in time...ill let you guys know what happens, and what i end up doing...

Ok guys, i have another 6 hours, a 3k head and a lot of motivation, so i should get this one sorted...mick, can you contact me on 0400733208 so we can sort out meeting somewhere? Btw, i have 2 friends who are keen to come so hopefully thats cool(one drives a ae71), they can pay for accomodation when we get there...if thats ok?
