Teddy Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Nick !!! Get a CE70 Wagon & Convert to a Ute !!! lol :) :) :) Quote
Super Jamie Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 a ke70 ute would be awesome. if you started with a panelvan and grafted in the inside of a hilux or datto ute pickup tray, i don't think it would be that hard to engineer either there was a guy on my australiancorollaclub yahoo group, lesmanoz, who was going this. he had photos of him cutting up a 70 but then he disappeared from the face of the earth Quote
Mr Revhead[RL] Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 AE86 ute cutting up an ae86 might get a few people rather upset.... :) Quote
Super Jamie Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 cutting up an ae86 might get a few people rather upset... i would LOVE to see the reaction you'd get on toymods to that! i'd do it just to piss them off, it would be so worth it :) ae86s are overrated. sure they look nice and have nice weight balance and they're good to setup for track work, but at the end of the day they're just a mid 80s mass production car, people need to get over it who remembers the s13 ute that some aussies made a while back? i've got a japanese drift video with that vehicle in it Quote
mumblezzz Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 I've seen pics of AE86 utes and to be honest it doesent look right. The back just isnt long enough and shits just out of proportion. Then again, if i ever rolled my car i'd consider it. I agree with the whole 86 worship thing going on. I've had people tell me i shouldnt treat my car like that and sell it to someone who would take care of it. f@$k 'em I say. These people have watched too many option videos, all they see are pretty D1 cars with perfect paintjobs and expensive bodykits. Watch some of the amatuer shit and guess what? banged up boro hachis with miss-matched panels, crooked bumpers, cracked lights. Crashing is part of learning. so what. bash that guard back out, stick that bumper back on and keep driving. </rant> Quote
Super Jamie Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 YAY 86 BASHING!!! you've got my vote son :) Quote
Medicine_Man Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 Stick it to them Paul, you have the right idea :) Quote
Teddy Posted July 8, 2004 Author Report Posted July 8, 2004 My car is too clean to break... ill have to get another ke70 and make it a track car so i can break that insted... Quote
Super Jamie Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 disclaimer: laughing at the car, not your photoshop skills HAHAHAHA OMG IT LOOKS LIKE A MIGHTY BOY ON STEROIDS!!! that would be THE funniest car on the road! EVER!!! somebody HAS to do it :) your chops don't look bad at all, when you view them small enough to take out the find detail, which is after all the difference between a chop and a fake. the first one has the full drag launch stance, it's obviously got an off-its-tits 13b turbo (evidenced by the light front end) and shagged out stock suspension (rwd squat). i would call it "how to do 10 second quarters for under 10 grand" :) i like the idea of just blacking out around the car and the bits you don't want, that's pretty effective, i wouldn't have thought of that (ho hum ke25 ute haha). and i'd *almost* believe the bottom one was a real car if it had a bottom rear windowsill. anyway good work, thanks for sharing :) Quote
Teddy Posted July 9, 2004 Author Report Posted July 9, 2004 disclaimer: laughing at the car, not your photoshop skills HAHAHAHA OMG IT LOOKS LIKE A MIGHTY BOY ON STEROIDS!!! that would be THE funniest car on the road! NickAE86 Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 theres a vid floating around somewhere of a red levin drifting thats done the ute thing...it looks pretty damn good but still... :) anyone know the one I'm talking about? i havent been able to find the vid since my hard drive crashed ae86's only became overrated when the fully sic bros watched ID and thought they could be like Takumi...i curse that cartoon...that said they're still a great little car Quote
mumblezzz Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 There was a red levin ute choptop running in D1 last year. Interesting to say the least. Quote
Super Jamie Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 do you guys know daryl leong? goes by the nickname of Dodgy Haro, he was at the all toyota day chatting to me about his yellow ke20, he came to that event in his panda ae86, as he left i commented "he SO needs a tofo shop sticker". ken was trying to get him to bring in a trueno front end and do the whole conversion, but he's sick of spending money on the sprinter and wants to have a nice oldcorolla now YAY :) Quote
