JiP Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 WoW, thats amazing. I never realised the amount of differant cars that were available in the states. That is quite a collection. Whats that car in post 15?? The last photo?? I also love the '63 Chevy Impala. And the '73 Chrysler New Yorker I'm with Raven, my ultimate car would be a fastback stang. I plan on going to the states after i finish both my cars to track one down, and ship over. So is it really just around $2,500 to ship a car over?? I was thinking that it'd be way more. Quote
Raven Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Container + shipping fees + shipping insurance (incase the boat sinks)+ you gotta be allowed to import it too + compliance. A little bit of work involved. Quote
Dan Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Yup and parts are non-existant over there. He has a super clean '66 furyI 4dr and a rough '66 fury III. I ALMOST got the FuryI; but decided on the '53 instead. it runs and drives now, I put a battery in it, primed the carb and it fired and stayed running. the gas is pretty sour though. look in the field behind the '51 you will see the FuryIII. These could be had for less than the Impala. How much does he want for the '66 Fury? I really, really like it haha... might as well say goodbye to getting the subi... haha Quote
teza40 Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 oooohhhh yes a mate of mine would love that 1961 mopar in post 12 with the reverse fins,he he he he. his name for them is elephant ears (61 dodge phoenix). i don't mind them either, altough 1965 model is my favourite. and thanks 7 shades I'm a mopar dude full on. mikeys toy[RL] Posted December 31, 2006 Author Report Posted December 31, 2006 Ok, I made a mistake....the fury's are both '65's he wants $800usd for the furyI. It needs tires and brakes bled as well as the old gas drained and the power steering pressure line has a hole in it. But it's basically turn key now. the fury III is rougher, and missing some parts He's not sure about the chrysler, I need to get pics and show them to him. If it's the car he's thinking of it was hot, had a holley and a 440 and was a good runner about 10 years ago Quote

7shades Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 hehehe I already asked if he had one of those :D In the tokyo thread which mysteriously disappeared. 800 USD for the fury.... I'm interested.... I'll be relatively close to the midwest in either the 2nd or 4th week of march... Is it easier to fly in to OK City or Wichita If I decided to come and have a look? Quote

Prospect Dodge Monaco Sedan it was a '73 dodge monaco. IF you can find one here, they are fairly cheap=under $2,000. Wichita is about 30mi closer, but it costs more to fly in/out of Wichita than Okc. give me plenty of warning, and I should be able to pick you up. Quote
7shades Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 Ok dude.... I'm not making any concrete plans til I get to LA but I'll give you as much advance warning as I can. Thanks heaps... Just a couple of quick questions.... whats the deal with title for something thats been sitting for so long? I have to have clear title to import it for road use in AU... will I have to wade through a heap of beauracracy to obtain a new one for it? And also, do you have a rough idea of how much road transport would be to vegas....? I've tried a few US websites for a quote but not much luck as yet Cheers man Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 when I sold my A100 van in nov. some guy got a quote for $1,500usd to go from San Diego, Ca to somewhere in Florida. Not cheap I can't see it being more than $1,000usd got more pics today... the New Yorker is a '72, power everything. It has a 440-4bbl. It's MISSING; the carb, the dizzy, the front brake calipers, the a/c compressor and the glovebx door is broken. the Newport 4dr is a '73, has a 400 2bbl ps, power disc brakes, a/c....it's MISSSING; the dizzy. He's reluctant to sell the New Yorker; I'm trying to work out a deal for $1,000 for Both cars, otherwise it's gonna be between $600-$800 for the NY. Any way; MORE PICS!!! The '58 chevy is only $600usd and is in good shape...I may buy it....red car is a gennie wrecked '65 GTO, Quote
