mumblezzz Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 How easy is it to fabricate a new clutch line from the master to slave cylinder? I need to have one made up to suit my import slave cylinder. Quote
andrew Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 easy. just get a line off something else that is a little longer and carefully bend it to shape Quote
irokin Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 just be very careful when your bending it. Make large radius bends to avoid crimping the line. Edit: I can take the center brake line off the KE30 if you need a brake line to bend. Quote
Redwarf Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 I also have a double flare tool if required, as well. You're welcome to come over and use it. Quote

pro_ke Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 is it a rubber line or a metal bundy line? Quote
demuire Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 You'd want a metal line for most of it, but have a rubber section at the end to allow the gearbox to move. Quote
pro_ke Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 you could probably get a brake/clutch place to make you one up for about $20 - and you know it will work properly... Quote
mumblezzz Posted August 6, 2004 Author Report Posted August 6, 2004 I was thinking about buying a flaring tool cause i need to do all the brake master cylinder lines again as well. Quote
Redwarf Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Feel free if you want, but they're not cheap. Your welcome to use mine... Quote
demuire Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 No they aren't. Single flare tools are cheap, doubles aren't. And no you can't use singles for brake lines. Quote
