project "D1-S1" has also began hopefully will be complete soon have to do some painting this arvo, then source my clutch, fairly sure i will have one this weekend then bam motor in, all interior should be clean/ painted and bolted back in this week. Then i have to abuse soemone until they gimme back my starter motor.

Project Lola is still where she's been at for the last eighteen months or so. I still plan on doing the same things, I just never end up getting around to doing them. :y:

So are you planning on keeping the GT4 stock as is for the while and fixing up Lola or other way around?

 

BTW Lola is only used in lap sprints ay and streetcar shootout not improved production ay?

might hav to borrow clints silencer to get ova the pits thou lol might even put the bonnet scope back on n cut the whole out for the carbies

well she was registed wen she came off the rd so itll be easy to get re-registed, still has pads b fluid

I only drove it in the dry, but it was a bit odd. And the motor was a bit flogged so no where near the amount of power you'll have. It sucks at low speed turns cause it rips chunks from your tyres and places heaps of stress on axles and the centre too I imagine. I only really induced that car sideways once in the dry, but it definitely wants to go sideways and it did feel pretty good.

 

Would be a scary as f@$k to drive a car with a locker in the wet though. Any decent corner and the car WILL go sideways, roundabouts etc 20-30khr will be oppy lock.

 

Might be fun, but wouldn't want it to catch you out.

 

You'd have a spare diff centre or two though wouldn't you? So wouldn't be too hard to changed from locked to open wheeler I imagine.
