I'm thinking about resisting the urge to spend heaps on the GT-Four and spending it on the 4A-GZE instead. I really want to build the ultimate GZE (250+hp).

thats the way to go

fast 4agze that would be mad

you getting 87rwks is that just standerd engine

Yes his motor is standard appart from a microtech

mine makes closer to 100 rwkw

Mine is standard apart from the Microtech and 2.5" exhaust with extractors.

No, mine is an AE101 model engine. 87rwkw equals 117rwhp. You lose about 30% of your power through drivetrain on a RWD car, so that puts the engine horsepower at 167hp at the engine. The AE101 makes 160hp at the engine from the factory, so the 2.5" exhaust and extractors would provide a bit better power than stock. The Microtech can't make much difference as all the other parts are stock. Of course, once I drop in the 440cc 7M-GTE injectors I've got it might have to start doing some work though.

EDIT: I've just found some 440cc injectors and 550cc injectors to suit all 16v 4A-GE/4A-GZE's for sale. Anyone interested???

Not for 20V eh? I have heard 3sgte ones are usually the upgrades in the 20V?

there 440cc ones yeah?

2JZ-GTE or 3S-GTE injectors are the ones you want for the 4A-GE 20v. After more investigation, it turns out I can get 440cc injectors to suit the 20v as well (from a 2JZ-GTE). You'd be looking at about $180 including postage, but you'd be getting 6x injectors (this is all secondhand). 16v 440cc injectors (from a 7M-GTE) cost about $150, again they are second hand. 550cc injectors to suit the 16v (from an RX7) would cost about $220 including postage. I'm tempted by these myself, but as I've already got the 7M-GTE items, I think I'll pass.

mm injectors u say........

i think I'm gettin my holidays payed out next week so i should be able to buy the strut braces!

and i think i will be comin on the cruise

Cool.

i'd be happy with 100kws at the treds

The GT-Four should have about 120kW at the wheels. :) With mods it could crack 200kW at the wheels (without opening up the engine).

Hrrm what sort of power would the 440cc support, a shit load for a 1.6 I would Imagine, What size are the 3sgte ones,

i'd say a fair bit more that standerd from a 1.6

i thaught that turbo injectors ran at a high impendence or omes,,, one or the other carnt remember

than the ones for a NA engine

3S-GTE and 2JZ-GTE both use 440cc injectors. Duy used these injectors in his 20v turbo (the one that later got sold to Daniel and has since been sold again).

EDIT: According to a little fuel injector calculator I just downloaded, 440cc injectors should be good for 210kW, but only 175kW if turbocharged. I would have thought that was engine kw, but maybe it's power at the wheels. It would make sense for it to be power at the wheels, as Duy made 120rwkw and Daniel later made 160rwkw on 440cc injectors.

Using the calculator:

365cc: 176kW NA, 147kW Turbo

440cc: 212kW NA, 177kW Turbo

550cc: 265kW NA, 221kW Turbo

BTW, that's worked out at an 85% duty cycle. There's potentially more power available if you use more of the injector's potential, but 85% duty cycle is a nice, safe figure.
