Thanks mate. I found heap of corolla pics on AR.com, but they are mainly external pics of corolla drag cars fitted with rotaries.

 

If you find some engine mounts to suit my car in your travels, I am definately keen too. (that goes for everyone reading this too)

 

Just out of interest, are 13b and 12a engine mounts the same. If i happened to find mounts to suit 13b into ke30, would they be the same as a 12a into ke30?

They weren't cheap. All of my mechanical hand tools are Kincrome and Stanley. I'm Cabinet Maker/Shopfitter, so there is one thing i have learnt over the years when it comes to tools. don't buy cheap crap! Buy it once and make sure its the best you can afford.

Nah 13b's are like 10mm or something longer out the front, but you can slot some 12a mounts and use them for a 13b. Some guys get away with turning them round.

Since its for the rolla you gotta start from scratch away so it doesn't really matter anyway.

Just got home from the Engineers. The 12A conversion has just been given the go ahead. Enkleman Engineering in Braeside are very helpful and come highly recommended so far.

I have a referral to a workshop around the corner from where i work in Sth Melbourne, so the project will be full steam ahead as soon as i can get the Rolla booked in.

I got quoted $650-$700 for the final certificate which i thought was pretty fair, considering i have heard of people paying upwards of $800 for Engineering services.

They Engineered my rolla with "don't laugh" a slightlly and very slightlly wormed over 5k "know it all f*&ktard at vicroads"

My cert was $450 plus gst but was because i didnt need a brake test.

Make sure that the state of tune is pretty good as they do not just a db test but a sniff test.

All i had to do was knock sum noise out and he wasnt happy with my harnesses as there was no adr tags only date tags for cams approval.

All up cost me $780 for the lot. They are really good to deal with though as long as youve done the conversion with commonsense in mind you wont have any probs.

I will be having 2 exhausts made (maybe just different mufflers). When it gets engineered, it will be a nice quiet and standard 12A.

Down the track, it will be a 12A BP with low restriction exhaust.

Apparently a BP with a restrictive exhaust will go worse than a standard 12A.

i can believe that.

My bro has a 13b j-port with a bad exaust and standard fuel pump and i recon its slower than a 12a
