I pick up my engine from road and track tomorrow. I just got them to clean it and measure it up for me as i decided to build it myself seeing as ive got a worked 18RG to build now too :dance:

 

Got a set of 20v factory headers today for my 16v, Will need to be re drilled but I'm cool with that as they should flow a bit more than the factory 16v cast manifold.

Got the engine back today.

 

The bores are worn so i will need to go 20 thou over sized pistons. Crank looks good, No scouring at all on the journals just a little but on the rear crank seal surface. Oil pump is also worn but I'm not worried about that as I'm getting higher pressure pump with stronger gears. The pistons look new, Not a single wear mark on them just a few marks from them being chemically cleaned.

 

Mum cracked the shits because i have the Crank, Rods, Pistons, Oil pump and a few other small bits stored in my bedroom and it now smells like CRC, Need to open a window me thinks.

 

7 rib block

 

Pulleys, Flywheel etc.

 

42mm crank, Rods, Pistons etc.

 

Bigport 3 rib rods vs smallport 7 rib rods.

 

Pretty clean for used pistons.

 

Just some marks from the chemical cleaner but they wipe off.

The crank was very clean, All i did was removed the oil from it.

Yeah they still look good, I was expecting scuff marks on the skirts but its clean as.

 

I need to go 20" over sized pistons but i don't know what brand to stick with ?

 

Blacktop 20v quad throttle bodies are on the way.

Most likely getting a newer car in the coming months so not much will happen with this other than all the motor bits being put away properly. I'm not going to sell it but store it.

Head gasket blew today so I'm back in the Ke70. 165/70/R13's tyre's on the rear are fun.

Decided to rebuild it to stock form.

 

So the quads and headers are for sale and the toda stuff etc has been canceled.

Got all the bits i need to rebuild it, Pistons, Bearings etc.

 

Cost me $950 for everything.
