welded the other guard in!

drivers side was waaay more rusty!

but all cut and welded up!

removed rust and previous bog job from bottom quarter!

 

then...... upon closer inspetcion i had to remove more!

now i got a biiiig hole to weld up!

i reckon these rust because of the vents!

the little seal degrades and water gets in sits in there along with dirt and presto!! RUST!

glad to get rid of em!!

I agree with you about the vents leaking, also the taillights can leak and cause rust.

Those side buckets in the boot have drainage holes. But if the holes get blocked then you will definitely see rust.

I Know that the side vents are supposed to be for air exiting the cabin, I have wondered if in a massive downpour if some water may enter the boot.

Only is the seals are faulty.
