First of all I would like to say I hope no one else has posted this topic as it is my first post..so here goes:

I have a wonderful little green ke30 that i got for free (thanks granny) anyway i was curious about changing the lights in my dash to leds,

could someone please tell me whether i can get a special type of LED that will fit straight into the normal bulb holder, or if i need to modify a normal dicksmith Led to fit, if so what resistors e.t.c should i use.. by the way I live in New Zealand.

p.s. i have already removed the gauge cluster twice to install a 2" tacho in the clock hole, so I'm a little familiar with it

Yes you can get them... the housing fits right into the bulb holder and the 'lens' is shaped to disperse the light in a more omnidirectional way. I had blue ones in a KE70 and they look quite good... I found mine in japan, but I have seen them on ebay and on the shelf in auto accessory shops too. Few bucks per LED.

The needles will just pull off, just remember to have them facing 0 when you pull them off.

As for how i did them, its all in the thread.....Paint everything white, then use cigarette filters to dab the black paint on the raised numbers.

and to xany, excuse my ignorance they are on your page haha, and one last question, if you had blue leds and white gauge faces why was it green?? was it because of those little bulb covers??, can i take them off if so??

thankks again
