  9. yeah ive seen his thread its a great build, ive been told ke30's can only have 12a but apparently ke55's can have the 13b as they have a tare weight of 900 compared to the 800 that ke30's have... Neways this is only what ive been told i have to look into it!
  10. thanks for the advice, i plan on dropping a Mazda 13B into it non turbo just running a carby setup (nothing to crazy just a good street car)... Still have alot of research to do like if that engine is allowed in the car etc but if it is allowed I'm pretty dead set on doing it as i love the old rollas and combine that with my love for rotary's and wen its compelte would pretty much be my dream car... So yeh if its possible I'm pretty dead set on doing it no matter how much, how long or how hard its gonna be! Good Luck!
  11. ey mate just read through all 7 pages as i was interested to see how your going with it as i will be dropping a new engine in my ke55 and will have to go through the same rules and regulations as I'm in vic... Neways good to see your on the right track and seem to have found yourself a half decent engineer... I hope it all turns out ok and you don't have to sell up as u talked about on previous pages... Neways if ur dreams get shattered again would it be possible to setup the car for race use and run it on a club permit for race days as that would be better then selling up or do you need a engineers certificate for that aswell? Just wondering if youve looked into that possibility as i have always had that as a plan b when it comes to doing my car... Thanks!
  12. Problem 1 Ok just wondered if this is normal, on the drivvers side there is a big gap between the body and the bumper while on the other side its sitting against the body. Just wanted to know why this is and if i can fix it, is the bumper bent somehow even though it doesnt look bent or is it to do with the mounts... Please help, see pictures below! My main concern is that when i put em on my ke55 thats been freshly resprayed it may damage the paint on the passenger side... Problem 2 When removing my rear bumper on my KE30 i undid all the bolts underneath but the bumper wouldnt budge then i noticed these bolts on the side and i have no idea how to get to them, any ideas? I tried gettin onto it from underneath but theres not enough room between the body and the bumper to get any tools in there... Please help, see pics below! These bolts... Thanks...

  14. what condition are your chrome bits in and are the clips still good? $220 sounds alrite i need the ones that go round the window i think there called bailey channel Seals and i also need the door seal rubbers that run around inside of the doors...
  15. Ey lads i just got my car back after getting resprayed and there are a few parts that i need. I need clips that hold the chrome trim on that sits above the doors, when they removed the trim the clips were badly corroded etc and wouldnt go back on so they need to be replaced. Also all the rubbers around the windows and doors were deteriorated badly and couldnt be saved. Just needed some advice on where to get these parts from and if you have a rough idea on what they would cost, I'm in melbourne vic. Thanks...
  16. spotted a nice ke30/55 not sure was only a quik look and i was in my daily commo wagon, it was around lunchtime on ferntree gully rd near bunnings... very nice car, anyone on here???
  17. pretty dodgy but if you had a 13b could you machine the 13b off and get 12a milled in and they would think it was a 12a but its actually a 13b :yes: what u rekon? would that work...

Did you supply them with any parts or anything at that price? or did you just bring the car in and they supplied and fitted all the bits needed? sorry its probably a stupid question but I'm still learning alot about these cars. Also are the coilovers fully adjustable? height etc? How low can they go? Thanks...
  19. ey mate i can't believe i have only just seen this thread now as I'm really keen to rotarise my ke55... Just wondered could u have got the car engineered with a 13b or did u have to go 12a? Also is the reason u didnt go Bridgeport first up cause of the emissions test required for engineeres? Let me know, thanks... Ill have to keep an eye out for this car! Also how much did the coilovers set u back? Are they made for corolla or did u modify to make another set fit?

  23. i hope to achieve some more performance out of the car before i decide to do an engine conversion and at the same time make it sound tuffer and I'm doing it cause i plan to start entering the car in some events like hill climbs, sprints etc not to seriously just for a bit of fun, hope that answers your question...
