I was wondering if anyone from here has ever been to the Kandos car show? It's on every year on the Australia day long weekend, and it's a pretty good couple of days out.

I saw a ke30 2 door in 07 and an off its tits orange ke20 this year.

Oh yeah, and there's been an orange levin there both years that ive been.

It has show and shine, motorkhana, toss a spud, whoa to go, burnouts etc.

And if thats not enough....It has BEER! I know how much everyone likes beer! :( yuck!

I reckon it'd be cool to organise a whole heap of rollas to go to this!!

What do you think?

Yeah ive been there the past 2 years and with any luck ill be there again this year. I saw the orange ke20, had a quick chat to the fella, he was camped right across from me and my mates. He had problems with it (coolant leaking) so he didnt get a proper run. But i never saw the ke30 2 door the year before. And i saw the orange levin also. He is a member on here.

If i go up next year ill definately take my ke25 for a run.

Yeah Kandos is a great weekend. It is a very laid back show. I have been there the last 6-7 years, and helped my father-in-law judge the show n shine for last 4 years. They get some good quality cars and there always seems to be a corolla or two up there. I highly recommend attending.

I'm keen to go, any chance of a link to sight or some details of some one to contact. Thanks :D

  • 3 months later...

So....

Who's going to Kandos next year?

Is anyone on here on the Rylstone and Kandos Street Machine Club?

Does anyone know how tough they are in scrutineering and what they look for?

Any help with those would be appreciated

Cheers :)

Oh, and here's a link to the 2009 website:

All the info should be on the website man...

Check the entry form, usually has the items on there which will be checked for scrutineering...

They are pretty strict with their checks so make sure it's all done otherwise you won't be entering...

I'll be there like I am every year... Not too sure if the Corolla will be with me this time tho...

ok but why the hell would you need to cover the tailshaft, I hve n involved inome motorsport (mostly off road and 4wd cops) and have never seen a requirement for anything as silly as that, what would the purpose of it actually be. its not like anybody is gonne go underneath the car as its driving.

I am wondering how one would be mounted firstly, and the fact it would rub on your tailshaft as the rear suspension cycles up and down.
