I found this in a KE35 at a wrecker today. I know that it isn't a factory thing, but was wondering what it would have been in originally?? Or is it an aftermarket thing??

that's what i was going to say. because here we call it a boot, not a trunk.

I've seen a KE55 with an aftermarket Boot release and the fat lever located by the drivers seat was labeled trunk. So it could be an aftermarket item that may have been sold at an automotive store. This may be the same?
i believe it is a control panel off a late 80's mechanical elephant.
