demuire Posted March 7, 2005 Author Report Posted March 7, 2005 Actually, I wonder if this is supposed to be a motorkhana... In the description it says it's a "set course", but there seems to be a very large lack of flags/cones... Quote
demuire Posted March 7, 2005 Author Report Posted March 7, 2005 Haha... Well there's photos of a Silvia (that happened to come in like last place in the RWD class... of 3 cars, haha), and there are some flags in that photo... All the rest of the cars were FWD as far as I can tell. The classes they ran were funny, they had S, M, L and XL, hehe... Quote
demuire Posted March 7, 2005 Author Report Posted March 7, 2005 Seriously though, if you're into that vintage of Corolla, I recon a T18 would absolutely kick ass. They are a dime a dozen, you can work a 3TG and bolt it in, it already has the proper diff etc etc, and similar parts to all the other Corollas of that vintage. They're like the "old school" AE86, and cost about 1/100000th of what an AE86 costs... And I recon they can be made to look just as good. Quote
Jason Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 All the ones ive seen have had that front Quote
demuire Posted March 7, 2005 Author Report Posted March 7, 2005 No idea on that one. I do think the best fronts for the xE7x are that one (small square lights) and the twin round headlights. I don't really like the bigger square ones, or the updated AE71 look. Quote
demuire Posted March 7, 2005 Author Report Posted March 7, 2005 Actually, Jason may be wrong here. Just had a browse through Google for some photos of a "T18" (I think Australia is the only country that called them that? Everywhere else they seem to be known as a 2 door xE7x Corolla hatch or something similar to that) and all I can find are them with the newer front: And they did come out towards the end of the xE7x range here in Australia (where elsewhere they may have come out earlier on), so they probably only came with the newer front... Ah well, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to fit the older front on, after all it's the same chassis. Quote
Nitephyre Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 i've never been a big fan of the aus delivered T-18... whereas the overseas ones look nicer with the rear quarter windows etc... Quote
Super Jamie Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 there should be a poll, which 70 front end do you like better  Quote
Redwarf Posted March 7, 2005 Report Posted March 7, 2005 *shrug* They're all as ugly as a hat full of....... Quote
JapTastic Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 -[yRe,Mar 7 2005, 09:34 PM] i've never been a big fan of the aus delivered T-18... whereas the overseas ones look nicer with the rear quarter windows etc... Agreed, thanks for the pics Fook. The starlet has odd looking wheels, they're like a watanabe but only 6 spoke. Not sure if I like them or not. Quote
