December 8, 200817 yr comment_296199 SO, found a Camry TB, not sure TPS is so don't know if is has it.. but its 2 1/4" Quarter inch bigger then my piping.. could i just got from flange to 2 1/4 then down to 2"? Report
December 8, 200817 yr comment_296338 Yea, any good fabrication joint should be able to make up a reducer. Even an exhaust joint could do it. TPS = Throttle Position Sensor :P Edited December 8, 200817 yr by SLO-030 Report
December 8, 200817 yr comment_296349 TPS = Throttle Position Sensor :P I googled it lol.... I might get a camry one next week, unless anyone has a better one in mind? :) Report
December 9, 200817 yr comment_296379 gimme an idea on what sorta car to look for then i might be able too Report
December 9, 200817 yr Author comment_296400 oi i gotta stock gze one, its 2 inch exactly, i might want to keep it tho, but yeah GZe ones are 50mm and 4age ones are 55mm i believe Report
December 9, 200817 yr comment_296558 Yeah was thinking a 4AGZE one, but after having a chat to a mate, seems a VL one off a RB30 would suit aswell. Seems with that Setup i can have the full 10-12PSI by 2500RPM so i reckon thats the go!! :D Report
December 13, 200817 yr comment_297530 Hey guys sorry its been a while since ive been on this thread. I had the corolla on the dyno last night and the issues are starting to raise there ugly heads. It made 80rwkw @6650 with only 6.9psi at the manifold(should be more like 11-12). Some of the lambda readings were lean as darn then rich then lean and so on. So that lends me to think its the std 7k pressure reg not up to scratch. Seeing as 80rwkw is starting to get near the end of the 7k injectors max duty cycle, i will be fitting not just a new malpassi reg but the 4age injectors i have aswell. On the boost front the belt is still stretching but i am still getting heaps of slip aswell no matter how tight the belt is i can only get about 9psi out of the v belt setup I'm using not 12. So I'm debating on changing it to either a 5 or 6pk belt or making a tooth belt setup, but still havent decided. stu. Report
December 13, 200817 yr Author comment_297549 5pk is what they have standard on gze's so there shoudlnt be a problem if you use that, i plan to. 80kw on 7psi is nice, this is a 5k yeah? once you sort fuel out should work a little better, with efi are you faced with the same problem of blow through that the fuel pressure must always be mroe than boost pressure. if so use a riseing rate regulator. Report
December 13, 200817 yr comment_297558 My fuel pumps are wired to the ECU, so would that mean the ECU controls the amount of pressure one pumps? not sure might Google it later. 80rwkw is nice, Ive got larger injectors already, but a slipping belt. so prolly not getting the full 12psi same as you stu. id be happy with 80rwkw. Report
December 13, 200817 yr comment_297635 Nah the ECU just needs to trigger the relay for the fuel pumps to turn on. Fuel regulator controls the pressure and the ECU just fires the injectors. Report

Yeah its a 5K. I have not been able to get photo on the computer yet so the rides thread is yet to be updated(been a bit sidetracked too). I was thinking with a 5pk belt, if the pulleys were kept large around a similar size to a 4agze then that would add to the total contact area of the belt. Hopefully giving more grip and less slip!! Would also be alot less noisy compared to a gilmer style pulley setup. I now have the rising rate malpassy style reg, the injectors and the new plugs. Now just need new seal kits for the injectors. Fit all this and tune for 8-9psi. More boost will come when i can get a chance to make a bottom pulley to change to 5pk belt. Report
December 14, 200817 yr comment_297961 Should i be running a Rising rate reg? Ive just got a surge tank in boot, VL pump straight to the fuel rail by the looks of it... only thing i see is a metal container that looks like a fuel filter... hrmmmm :jamie: Report
December 14, 200817 yr comment_298030 Yes you should be. Take a pic of the thing you're talking about and we can identify it. Actually does it have a vacuum/boost line attached to it? Report
December 15, 200817 yr comment_298062 Nah it don't mate.. All i know is i got pumps in boot, surgetank, then its connected to the fuel rail.. Then i got ECU with all wiring, electric dizzy. and some random vacuum line from ECU to manifold.... Looks like i might have to get one Report
