The SC12 on the AW11 I drive has a loud whine when engaged but I am basically sitting against the firewall so I dunno how loud it is outside, No mods have been done to the car.

I'm hopeing my sc setup will have a silent charger

Me too ;). Just make sure its mounted the right way up so it doesnt drop all its oil like someone else on RC :)
