beerhead Posted November 11, 2008 Report Share Posted November 11, 2008 If you think it's definitely lifters, I'd try a product called "Wynn's engine tune up". I got put onto it by a mechanic and it shut up the noisy lifters in a mates falcon really well. To check if it is the timing chain, put a timing light on the motor while it is at idle. If the timing chain is good the timing marks will be steady.
