Des Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 Hey Hey, I put my wheels off my ae82 twincam on my daewoo cielo and there is always a vibration at 100kph like the wheels are unbalanced. They're 15x6 and 195/50/R15 and a tire shop my boss and my self have balanced them and the vibration is still there but its only there with these wheels and tires. When i fitted them they fit fine on the studs and they are the same stud pattern. Any ideas Quote

Des Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 No flat spots or any noticeable defects but i swapped the rears to the front and its fine now so I'm going to take them back to the tire shop i got them from. Its either the tires or rims. Quote
towe001 Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 An x-girlfriend of mine from years back had an '82 seca that started to have the same problem, even swapping the wheels from front to back it'd still do it. Had all four wheels balanced, tires re-set on the rims for balance, balanced on the car. The only thing we could work out was a drive shaft Quote
D1doony Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) rims might be buggered Edited January 19, 2009 by D1doony Quote
7shades Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Does the Daewon't have the same centrebore as the rolla? (unlikely) You'd only need the wheel to be poofteenth out of whack when you tightened the lugnuts up to create a vibration at 100kph Either that, or the bucket of shit is just plain vibrating itself to death through natural causes. Why on earth did you fix it? Let it DIE Desmond... die die daewoo die Quote
grindley4 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 get some hub rings to locate the rims on the hub. Quote
Trev Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Des found out it was an egg in the tire. Quote
