dbr11k Posted February 23, 2009 Author Report Posted February 23, 2009 ok so once i get these lca's in what would be the next best thing to be doing?? Â power steering arms? Quote
trav_555 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 well ps arms add lock, depends how much lock you want, have a loko at other ae71's with rack spacers and ps arms and different combinations of the 2 Â Travis Quote
dbr11k Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Posted February 24, 2009 thanks trav. but I'm just can't quite see how they would work? i mean my car scrubs on the sway bar at full lock on the drivers side.. Â and thats without lock spacers or ps arms.. Â and with 155/13's !!! Â if/when i get these corona lca's in will it put it out far enough to stop this? Quote
dbr11k Posted February 24, 2009 Author Report Posted February 24, 2009 again sorry about the qaulity.. mobile phone. Â here's what i mean.. it is also scrubbing on the inside of the guard, just above the sway bar. Â Â Â Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 some neg offset rims suit fix the scrubbing problem (?) Quote
trav_555 Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 yea they probably would, longer lcas also might, really suspension is a bitch, your gonna need to do a whole heap of things before you get it the way you want it, unless you copy someone Quote
adam-__- Posted February 24, 2009 Report Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) You need lower offset wheels. Â I'm running 15x7s wearing some 195/50 RE001s and it's fine. This is with AE86 power steering arms and some URAS slip on lock spacers EDIT: I should also mention that I'm running XT130 lower control arms as well. There are some photos in my thread comparing each modification's lock. Â Â The first modification to your 26 year old (there abouts anyway) suspension would be to get new bushes all round. I haven't done this myself, but just saying.. :hmm: Edited February 24, 2009 by adam-__- Quote
dbr11k Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 funny you say that... i went to repco today to pick the control arms up... they ordered nolothane bushes for an xt130... not the actuall lca :lolcry:  IDIOTS.. apparently they can't get lca's in... so ill have to get them second hand anyways... which means ill need new bushes any ways   ...god i hate chasing parts  and i dare say that would be the problem.. the rims do have a fair amount of pos offset.. they sit in the gaurds like an inch maybe two..  the only place it scrubbed with the 18's on was the outside of the gaurd at full lock.. which really spun me out when it scrubbed with these skinny little suckers lol Quote
dbr11k Posted February 25, 2009 Author Report Posted February 25, 2009 any one have any lca's for sale? Â i know there is other models that have the same sie lca but i can't remember what they were.. i'll have a search around if no one here has some.. Quote
adam-__- Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 RA23/28, RA40, RT132/XT130. They're all 300mm compared to the standard KE70's 290mm ones. Quote
dbr11k Posted March 1, 2009 Author Report Posted March 1, 2009 got bored saturday... so i gave the rolla a decent scrub and polish.. took a few snap sorry bout the qaulity one day ill get my camera fixed the arvo sun really brings the best out in the paint and these photos don't do it justice. enjoy..
