Hey Stu,

 

ETA on Colour - we're not sure of yet. It will most likely be around Easter Time. The Panelbeater Painting it is going to Drive up to Queensland in his Restored XY GT Falcon in a few weeks, and he will be back a week later.

 

I'm guessing this will be finished by next year.

 

I hope so as well. Dad isn't sure what he wants to do with The Smurf yet, and the KE10, I'm not sure of either.

Well. Not much done other than Sanding her back Occasionally.

 

Apart from that, Today marks the 2nd Year of my Ownership of Ollie. I must say, for 2 years, I'm REALLY happy with what's been done so far. :D

 

We'd like to Thank You Guy's for your Support towards Me and my Dad, and for Keeping our Passion Strong for this KE36 Panelvan Project. :)

Just a little update.

 

The Entire Car is now Sanded back, Air-Gunned, and Ready for the Undercoat to be layed, hopefully next Weekend. :dance:

Mate, YOUR enthusiasm helps keep ME pushing through on my build, so THANKYOU! I'm doing a lot of stuff for the first time as well, but heck if a guy over a decade my junior is going hard at it...I'd better get my butt off the couch & get moving! It's good to hear that this Thread is Encouragement to Other People to kick-start THEIR motivation towards THEIR Project(s). The thing that keeps us going is Picturing what we think the finished product would look like in the end, whilst we're working on this beast. After all, we're doing this Project OURSELVES. :)

Since 6.00pm, Dad has put on another 2 Coats of Undercoat, and we're gonna let that dry, ready for tomorrow's lot of Undercoat. It looks really Cool. :dance:

 

There will be Fresh Pictures uploaded Tomorrow Morning or Afternoon (Depends on what Time we wake up). :)

So. Woke up this morning, Headed Straight to the Garage, and took a good look at Yesterday's Progress. Overall, it came up good and we're pretty happy with it. :)

 

 

So later Today, we're gonna rub her back with Scouring Pads, and Lay on another Coat or 2. :)

Been a long haul, I'm absolutly buggered today after all the work we have done on it

next saturday is the last day i have to finnish prepin it for the paint before easter

I'm lookin forward to layin the top coat { josh's mystery colour }

then once its painted I'm gonna lower it for him tweek the engine then finnish the interior.

Well i have two days off

we all know what that means !!!!!

 

WATCH THIS SPACE !!!

So, 3.00pm and we have just finished doing what we have long awaited for.

 

THE BASE COAT IS ON !!! :dance:

 

We decided to lay on the Base (and the Clear) Ourselves, purely because of the fact that this is a project we have been doing Ourselves. :)

 

We've put on 3 layers of the Base Coat, which we should finally tell you guys, is "Ford AU Galaxy Blue". It is a Pearl Colour from Factory on the Ford AU Falcon, and the young fella who mixed the Paint up for us decided to Bonk the Bottle of Powder-Pearl into the Can ($30 a squeeze) for Free, putting another 10 Layers of Pearl in it. :D

 

Just to think it looks shiny already, we are YET to lay the Clear Coat on, which will be tomorrow. :D
