Having said that, It is worth whatever you are willing to pay.......Remember these things don't pop-up everyday anymore.

I've seen a starting price of $8000

That was the blue one on Carsales.com.au, a fully restored one.

 

I paid 2k for mine, it took me 7 years to find it, and I reckon it was an absolute steal. Good all over condition, running roadworthy. I've seen them go cheaper but nowhere near the condition.

 

They're hard to find but not what I'd call in high demand.

These are probably the only locally delivered Corolla I would prefer than a KE26. and I love 20s

I paid 1500 for mine and its just a rust free straight shell with above average interior.

Not running gear and badly needs paint.

If its as good as you say. I recon its worth $3k absolute minimum probably more...
