August 21, 200917 yr Author comment_367746 so, RWC wasn't too bad. got knocked back for wiper blades and water squirters, oil leaks (he just wants me to clean the engine), new front tires, rear springs sagged too much and diff pinion seal leaking. whitewall will be going on the front (most likely rear as well) and lowered springs going in too ;) earlier than i wanted to, but it's nice how things kinda work. venetian might go on later. but in the mean time, tissue box with doily/dog cover, should have a crochet rug to throw over the rear seats and some XXX mints for the center console. August 23, 200917 yr comment_368153 Great pickup. I love those UFO Crowns. They look like they had an accident right on the production line. Massively overstyled front is total porn in my opinion. If only I could find one of them for $500 in Adelaide. Congratulations! Great pick up. :bash: For $500 you must be wrapped with it. I love these cars but can't seem to find them anywhere, would love to own one. Where were you guys when I bought mine back in march? Report
August 23, 200917 yr Author comment_368158 but that's a series one.........no-one likes those :) :bash: it's just the way it is, some people can find them, others can't. just like i'd love a stout (or a stout lite) but i've only even seen rusty shells on farms :y: Edited August 23, 200917 yr by dfunkt Report

Working my arse off most likely. but that's a series one.........no-one likes those :y: :bash: it's just the way it is, some people can find them, others can't. just like i'd love a stout (or a stout lite) but i've only even seen rusty shells on farms ;) Series one or not, I still love 'em! Stouts are out there, I have one :) Report
August 24, 200917 yr Author comment_368205 Stouts are out there, I have one :bash: that's exactly it, some people have luck finding cars....others not-so-much. i scored a lovely crochet throw rug on the weekend, one my mum made back in the late 70's. correct vintage for the car, and fits perfectly over the seat. . everything has been officially booked for RWC. new springs all round will be going in tuesday. unsure how much lower to go, will have some opinions (partner and mate) with me when i drop it off in the morning. whitewall tires are booked in for thursday, $410 driveaway. engine will be cleaned tuesday night. hopefully there's no fresh leaks i need to fix. and the diff pinion seal i'll get the mechanics to fix when they check it off for RWC. August 24, 200917 yr comment_368213 whitewall tires are booked in for thursday, $410 driveaway. Good to see it's all coming together mate. This car is a bargain classic cruiser and super cool to boot. Whitewall tyres - Are these brand new tyres you are talking about that have a whitewall as part of the manufacture or is this someone adding a whitewall to your existing tyre? If it is a whitewall tyre from factory, then I'd like to know the brand etc of it as this is a GREAT price. If you are paying someone $410 to add walls to your current tyres then you are getting shafted. It's only $100 to do that here in Adelaide. Report
August 24, 200917 yr Author comment_368225 Sumitomo do whitewall tires straight from the factory. Two sizes available in a 14", 185 and 195 (i think they're both x/75/14), was told the whitewall is 25mm-30mm. TheTireFactory (TTF) are doing them for me, i believe they are also over there in SA. dF Report
