Just letting everyone know that the next round of the VMC is on the 19th June at the BP Oasis, Somerton.

 

All you need is a current club membership and a CAMS 2NS or higher licence. Cost is $30 if you enter on the day (cheaper if you enter prior). Can link to sup regs if required.

 

If not, I am looking at competing so if you are not doing anything come a say g'day.

I hope to get up there and spectate. Its not very often that i get to see this form of motorsport.

What are your number plates? So i can look out for you.

 

You got times and where exactly BP Oasis is (melways ref) will do me.

I'll be in a burgandy KE20 with "MYTOY" on the rear plate. My old man may be there in his KE20 as well (also with "MYTOY" on the plate).

 

BP Oasis is a truck stop just pass the Ford factory. As you head out of Melbourne, its on your right hand side. You turn right at a set of lights (think its Cooper St) and enter via the truck stop. Start time is around 10:30ish.

 

Last round there were around 30 cars entered, from early Peugots, to a Porche Boxter, through to purpace built specials. So it should be a reasonable day.

Yep you got it spot on Coln72 thats exactly where it is and it is called Cooper St. It's about 10 mins from my place, I might drop by as well and start the Coln72 cheer squad with Kanga :angrybird:

Just a suggestion.

I'm pretty unfamilar with the area, so that is a good idea. How long do these events normally run for?

Well, if you know how to get to Epping Plaza, located on the corner of High Street and Cooper Street, we can meet there at 9:30ish or just after. At the car park next to Blockbuster.

 

If that makes it easier?

The event should be over by 3:00 at the latest but there are no restrictions on when you leave (there is for me though).

 

I'll just cruise through to the event as I will need to be there for scruitineering by 9:00ish

Latest weather forecast is for 14 degrees and RAIN!!

Are these events still held if its teaming down rain (my gut tells me yes). I would hate to drive out there, to find that its been cancelled.
