  1. TRX rims will fit as Rolla Boy has em on his 30 and I'm about to put some on mine. don't know how they'd look on a 70 though. Pic of my rolla with photochopped trx rims Pic of Rolla Boys 30 with the rims I photochopped
  2. Hey Trent-KE30 are the seat mounts on the 2 ke30's and the 55 all the same?
  3. There is nothing left of my dash except for the plastic frame.....all the vinyl and foam is gone from it. So if your dash has one piece of vinyl then it is in better shape than mine :P The issue would be getting it down from Canberra to Melb at minimum cost. My cash reserve is looking increadably thin at the moment due to ever increasing costs..........damn cars costing money.
  4. Its not the part where the dials are thats stuffed.......well that is stuffed as well but fixable, its the rest thats buggered. There was cracks and splits and holes all over the dash so I thought it would be a good idea to pull all the vinyl and foam off it and recover it........unfortunately its not as easy as I first thought so I was just gonna buy a second hand one and throw a dash cover over it. Now that plan is working out harder than I thought as well :P
  5. I'm as confused as hell now......the ke30 has the so called 55 dash in it and the 55 next to it has the so called 30 dash in it. Unfortunately someone hacked it to bits so was unuseable. The 55 dash in the 30 wont fit into my 30 which has the 30 dash in it as the mounting points look totally different. :P I'm starting to think the dash's are more to do with whether or not they are upmarket models rather than car models as I found another 30 with the 55 dash in it. :y: I think I'll just try and resurrect my current dash........less confusing
  6. I found a 30 coupe at pick a part with what appears to be a 55 dash in it. I can't find a 30 dash locally so i thought id try a 55. I will be taking the whole lot.......not just the dials but the dash surround and everything.
  7. I have totally stuffed my KE30 dash in a failed attempt to customise it. I do have access to a KE55 dash for a small fee so my question is will it fit in the KE30? It looks pretty much the same size but before I part with some hard earned I would like to know if anyone has done it or in fact if they are interchangable with minimum fuss. Thanks
  8. *UPDATE* I've now got the new carpet ready to install, all the mdf trimmed ready to be lined and reinstalled into the doors, spray painted all the interior plastic and is now ready to go back in, roof lining will be ready tomorrow, custom gauges made and installed (as per Valandor's guide :rocknroll: ) now I just need to get the front seats retrimmed, finish customising the dash and I can put it all back together. Will take some pics when the sun comes out again.
  9. Oh I wish I had of been there for that :rocknroll:
  10. Great day........good too meet everyone and look foward to the next one. Well done to Tiger and Kangaroosa for organising it and Sloth Snr I will pick up that exhaust one day :rocknroll:
  11. I believe kangaroosa is the official Vic Members photographer and video taker :S I'll bring my camera along anyway :)
  12. Looking foward to it people. Good to put some faces to names finally :S See ya'll tommorrow :)
  13. No worries mate, I appreciate the input :S
  14. Cheers Kanga you've alleviated my growing concerns.........bloody Rolla Boy making me all worried ;) Oh and Tiger.....the whole car could end up in the Bunkiest mod thread :S
  15. Nice work Kanga......my ears were getting cold all over again just listening to the wind on the video ;) Was a good day, too bad you didnt get footage of Coln72 smoking it up BIG time but what you did get was excellent.....well done mate. :S
  16. Your comments are starting to make me worried Rolla Boy......I pulled the lining of no problem but as stated the front section had already fallen so I didnt actually remove it. Worst case I can always use super glue and stick it to the roof :S Oh and Tiger.....they are all empties.......Oh and there is another row under them as well, no 2 bottles are the same either ;)
  17. Well I took the roof lining off.....didnt have to remove the windows either. Unscrewed a strip of metal across the back window and took out the int light and just pulled it off. Not sure about removing the front of the lining though as it had already fallen off. Everything is now out of the car and ready to be renewed and put back in again. Its a shell of its former self............a shell..............get it...........shell...................oh never mind, heres some pics. and heres all the interior on the exterior :hammer: Hope to start the refurbishment process boxing day :y:
  18. Yep planning to do everything myself except the seats. Should be an experience if nothing else. I am actually thinking of white mixed with either blue or black. Black will be easier to do as its a much more available color rather than trying to match the blue but we will see. A few more "before" shots
  19. Originally the Easy Rolla was going to be used as a motokhana car for me & my son however situations change and it now looks like being my daily driver. This has resulted in a need to rethink the whole direction of the car and a new plan has been born. Engine wise its basically a stock 3K with extractors & a cam and thats the way it will stay for a while. The interior is another issue all together, its basically stuffed which wasnt goint to be a problem when the plan was a motokhana car but now that its going to be used as a driver I need to give it an EXTREME MAKEOVER :) For those that don't know, this is Easy Rolla currently This is the interior and this is how the exterior will be when finished (wheels by Rolla Boy :) ) Between now and new years eve I plan to strip the interior completely doors, roof lining, seats, carpet and dash and totally redo the lot. Having never done it before it will certainly be an experience. Heres a tip for everyone.......before heading down to Clark Rubber to buy foam and some vinyl to redo the interior of your car DON'T watch 4 hrs of MTV's Pimp My Ride with your missus because she will convince you that white is a good color for the interior of the car........thats right, I am recovering the interior in WHITE!!!!1!!!........Of course it will look sweet with the blue and white wheels but its gonna mean a lot of work converting a basically black interior to white. Will post some more current interior shots tonight and then the interioir will be stripped. If anyone has any tips re: covering doors, roof etc then they would be appreciated. I will post updated pics as I go.
  20. This is the key line here, if the wheels are moving at 100kph -> and the conveyer belt is moving at 100kph <- the net effect is the wheels are not moving at all. In order to make the wheels move the plane needs foward thrust......therefore providing the plane provides enough foward thrust to develop the necessary pressures to get airbourne then it certainly will take off. The wheels however will be stationary. Or maybe I got it so totally wrong that I should be locked up :D
  21. Yep cut & paste in p/s from your car :D Super Jamie - Let me guess, repaint it matt black  Kangaroosa - Just the 3k with a cam, I havent repainted it since I bought it, a wash will do amazing things :y:
  22. Thanks guys I appreciate the feedback.......unfortunately its not there yet. It still looks like this at the moment but I'm hoping to get it more like the photoshopped image in early January. One question Rolla Boy.....what type of paint did you do the wheels with? My current plan is to fix up the interior and get it on the road by the end of December. As you can see I've got a bit of work to do on the interior
  23. I know how people can get a bit upset when they have a good idea and everyone copies it so I wanted to ask you first before I copied your idea. :o Can I use painted white bluebird wheels on my rolla.......as you can see it would look fully sik  I eagerly await your response :)
