Undertaker_is_the_best Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 well i can say that SLW42 is pleased that i helped him with the motor this weekend gone its going good he will have to fill you in on what else there is to 2 to it but yeah going to be on hell of a car when finished thats for sure Quote
SLW42 Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 nice nice, much more to go get? yeah there is still afew things to go aye i still need a gearbox, tailshaft, computer exhaust, fuel pump, accelerator cable and just little bits and pieces like setting the cooling system up and finding a cushioned button clutch and another diff to weld up or put an lsd into so it will slide i have put an extra lock spacer into the car now and Justin aka Medicine Man has taken my wiring harness's away to join them together so i can plug them into the car and wire in the fuel pump when i get it so yeha it's slowly coming along i have a slight lack of motivation atm due to not having anything to do to it just yet :lolcry: cheers Justin Quote
SLW42 Posted October 30, 2009 Author Report Posted October 30, 2009 good day ladies and gents this car is gonna be running soon as i have got a te37(aka t- 118) gearbox and i figured out that a 74 celica tailshaft goes straight onto the back of the gear box and a 4age clutch goes straight onto the input shaft, the only thing is the celica tailshaft is like less than 10mm shorter probably about 5mm shorter will this affect it in anyway shape or form?? but yes slowly getting there Quote
Undertaker_is_the_best Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 just a bit of an update for this weekend coming not giving you all the detail i will let SLW42 do that iam merely just helping with the conversion looks that on the weekend the gearbox will be going in with some assistance from me lol and then its a matter of hooking up the tailshaft and a few other bits and the black pearl shall be sliding past you guys LMAO Quote

Undertaker_is_the_best Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 :( nice remember to get some pics up yea mate i will take the camera with me and take a few shots or justin might take a few with his phone Quote
SLW42 Posted November 4, 2009 Author Report Posted November 4, 2009 pics ladies and gents my big brake upgrade that mucked me around alot due to these struts being kexx not ke70 struts i think there 55 struts it now uses commondore brake setup and my box that holds the gears and now all i need is an exhaust, fuel pump, computer and the tail shaft fixed which means pull my old silly car tailshaft to bits and then change yokes my harness back from medicine man and then it will be running hopefully Quote
SLW42 Posted November 12, 2009 Author Report Posted November 12, 2009 went to put the clutch on yesterday and found there was no spigot bearing in the back of the engine so now i need a spigot bearing oh and bought another gearbox too!!!!! Quote
SLW42 Posted December 11, 2009 Author Report Posted December 11, 2009 clutch is in gearbox is in cooling and heater system is done i have beeen very slack with this car due to buyin a slanty front and gettin it rego'd to drive around in now but there will be more updates as i get more done Quote

SLW42 Posted December 13, 2009 Author Report Posted December 13, 2009 the ta22 is was sitting around at my old gurls house doing nothing till my mate said aye gimme all your parts so now it is sitting at his house getting stripped to build his ta22 i'll throw up some pics of how it sat when i last owned it IGNORE ME IN THE FLURO BEING A GOOBER Quote
SLW42 Posted December 26, 2009 Author Report Posted December 26, 2009 I have figured out the cooling system finally on this car it isn't pretty but it should hopefully work i have mounted the standard oil cooler that comes with the 4age in the ae82 it now sits next to the support bar in front of the radiator just in behind the grill still need to run new oil lines to and from the cooler, i have mounted a set of gauges into the cabin aswell the tacho is mounted where the centre console bit is just above the gearstick and there is oil pressure, temp, and a volts gauge just above my left knee in a chrome gauge holder thing so nothing really has changed just nutting out little things Quote
Undertaker_is_the_best Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 well not much to report on behalf of justin just a bit of painting here and there and well i brought him a computer so now there is less things to find lol most of his attention is to his daily ke71 so yea he can go more into details if he wishes Quote
