F@$k yeah thats coming along quite well looking forward to reading more and espcially when the motor gets dropped in

Yesterday I fitted up the tierod adapters then rolled it forward and dropped the engine in for a dummy fit, not to much difficulty cos of the crossmember.

though i did try using RB30 mounts as i hate the layered SR20 mounts, but they are to short. the engine only has 6mm clearance to the xmember and the mounts sag cos they don't sit on the rb mount, rather suspended between them. So i need to find semisolid/urethane mounts that are about 10-15mm higher than the RB30 mounts(I'm thinking escort or cortina mounts)

lookin good man sits in there pretty sweet, i had no probs with the rb30 mounts in mine? but then again ca and sr might be different

yeah, don't know how different they are, but mines sitting pretty average right now, need to get the motor a bit higher or I'll be eating ripple strips.

i think with the engine at that height the rear of it will be resting on the steering rack

Figured the engine mounts, factory Sr mount arn't straight up and down(stud to stud) they have a bit of an angle to them, so I've got to get some new mounts(They're ouch on the wallet at $220 each), So to all the clowns on NS who say they run RB mounts.....BS.

Not much done on the car in the last month (christmas and spending money on other shit), Been doing a bit more measurements/calculations and research, and picked up a few cars to buy and sell to help boost up the Mongrel fund. I'll do a full update on the weekend :wink:
