KESR20
Hey all! just asking whether anyone knows what coil over kits fit the ke36? do the ae86 coil overs fit? I'm clueless!
RedKE30
AFAIK there's nothing off the shelf that doesn't require modification to fit. Weld on coil over kits and XT130 struts are probably the best option.

anastasios
why not go with ae86 coilovers
seabiscuit
why not go with ae86 coilovers Yea, pretty sure you can bolt in AE86 coilovers. AE86 brakes would be sufficient for a 4AGE conversion!
RedKE30
I don't think AE86 coil overs are a direct fit, anyone know for sure? If they do then I could have saved myself some cash! If you go with XT130 struts then I would recommend the Corona/Hilux/Peugot brake upgrade. It's overkill but who cares and it's relatively easy to do. Edited December 31, 2009 by RedKE30
silverra23
No need to go as far as the Hilux calipers with the xt130/rt132 struts.. that is massive overkill. Just use the sumitomo twin piston caliper that comes with the corona strut. use the otomoto coil over conversion kit. its well priced and has all the good bits you will need including steel coil over sleeves
KESR20
how thick are corona struts? like the diameter in tube, i found something for 2" ID as a sleeve for the struts, mad keen on getting it all working
silverra23
Yes I believe they are a 2" strut housing
Boost+k
i put complete ae86 front struts that were converted to coil-overs in the front of a friends ke35, you need the ae86 p/s arms as there the closest length to the 35 length... but hey run the same ball joint so steering arm bolts in would recommend you get some roll center adjusters if going for coil-overs and low... ae86 vented brakes with decent pads is plenty of stopping power IMO
Falken_KE30
AE86 top hats that bolt to strut tower are same as KE70 which is different to the KE3x/5x series. I got TA22 struts in mine, and thats a fair bit more braking power, mind you i need new pads soon
Boost+k
yea should have mentioned that we used 35 top hats
