I came oh so close to buying one of this things a few years back. Got talking to the dealer about it, went off to grab a mate so we could do a test drive - four ears, an extra set of hands to fiddle with things and two heads works better, it takes the heart out off it and makes the mind work. Walked back into the dealership and hoped into an ae82 seca twincam for a test drive instead - was more practical for me.

 

Just watch the targa top, they can leak.

I had one of these a few years ago, 1989 Grand Prix edition. Bought it when I was 15 and sold 6 months later. Didn't even end up driving it. Yours looks pretty sweet tho :).

Best mate has one of these. It actually was the winner of the grand prix that was a celebrity race. His grandma won it. They are an awesome car just hope you don't have talk people in the back... That centre brake light hurts on bumps etc.

It's off the road now lol.. Engine blew up :D

Looks the goods. As Towe said, don't rice it up. Lower it nicely on a decent set of wheels and slap a turbo motor in with an LSD gearbox :D

See if you can hunt up a wrecked Pulsar Langley for the motor and box or a 1.8lt vector for the lsd box (from memory 1.6lt vectors only the upper spec versions had the lsd).

seems its the season for ca's to give out. mine seems to be due to dodge mechanics thou, pulled the head off and well i don't know if some mechanics know how to torque a head correctly or well if they ever did it at all, and also dropping heads on head gaskets isn't a great idea. but hopefully you will be able to get it back on the road soon, ive been without my car for a couple weeks and its all ready suckier than a whore!
