So I finally got my dream car a 1987 AW11 and I love it :P Always wanted one.

 

Exterior is immaculate, interior its very good with only the hand brake showing its age.

 

Plans:

 

BEAMS 3sge (yeah right), more like a regular gen 3 3sge with some cams ect

Stiffer springs and shocks down the line once I got a handle on the MR layout

New set of wheels

Get rid of unsightly wooden steering wheel

Nice- quite different in the handling?

 

I had a Lotus Europe 40years ago and although the grip was stunning the polar moment was quite different to RWD and it was disconcerting to slide. Something to get used to..

Have no idea at the moment, ill be taking it to the skid pan for a bit of familiarization :P lets see how many times I can spin out...

Always had a soft spot for the AW11 but could never justify the need for one.

 

Should see if Mrs Shades is bored with her E21 yet and get one 'for her' :P

I used to give the S/C AW11 I had for work purposes a bit of a hiding and I could never get the ass to hang out, Not like most people say.

IMO I would not go through the hassle of going 3s over 4a but it is your car.

Its still in my head so still unsure, but looking for a nice NA powerhouse of sorts.
